Aw, that's too bad. Well, I know what you mean, I fell in love with all of the characters at some point, they're so well developed. but I have to tip my hat to Jack and Thane being my favorites.

I love Jack! My favorite at the moment is definitely Samara or Garrus. I've always loved Garrus from the start but Samara is kind of regal in a sense.

Oh for sure. I think artistic sadness is great. But I do think that a little of it was wildly exaggerated.. one of my many qualms with ME3, haha. Leaving a game's ending up to a person's imagination is a poor excuse for plain old lazy writing. The depth of narration in the third game was really lacking... all of that "I can't explain because you/humans wouldn't comprehend" is just sooooo irritating! But other than it's flaws I really did love the third game.
