But I'm not going to stop drawing stuff, I'll just stop posting it in deviantART. I won't deactivate my account, but I won't be using it either.
The new dA is that much of a downgrade that (I think) if the staff is ok with such a bad idea, it means things can only go downhill from here on, and I'd rather not be here when that happens.

Sir, with all due respect, there are many issues with this idea:

1. Do you know you're only one of the two people I give comments regularly (because I'm an awkward mess when it comes to talk to other people)? It's just you and JCMX, who I'm also a big fan of. I come here mainly to post my stuff, interacting with other content creators is a secondary thing for me. If I can't or have to stop submitting my own stuff to it, then it loses pretty much all of the appeal a site has. It happened with my Youtube account: once I stopped making videos, then I also stopped giving likes to the stuff from people I was suscribed to.

2. The comment threads doesn't even work properly on Eclipse, so it heavily discourages me from engaging in long conversations like I do with you sometimes. This means, even if I used this account only for comments and faves, it won't even work that well for that purpose. Plus, Eclipse lacks some of the text options from regular dA and butchered the thumbnails, so it limits even more what one can do with comments.

3. Not using this account anymore includes faving and commenting on people's works. While it's a restriction I put for myself, so I technically don't really need to do follow it, it's also a way to protest about the Eclipse changes. If I still used deviant even after the Eclipse takeover, it would mean that I'd be ok with Eclipse (or at least, okay enough to keep using the site regardless of the changes), which I'm not.

4. If you do have a tumblr, then this makes all this discussion irrelevant, since I can just follow you there and do the same as I do with your dA account. But if you don't wanna use tumblr, then don't. This is my choice, but it doesn't have to be yours too, you can do what you want.

Oh, okay then, my friend...I consider your feelings very deeply and sincerely...but one thing’s certain...If you like eclipse (which you certainly do not), be sure to make your comments short and not too long and wordy!! but not on Tumblr, where you can turn some of your comments into long conversations with me just as you would do on the old DA. So, when I post “She has got a Hungry Mouth to Feed” or any of my other DA pictures and artwork on Tumblr, be sure to put a comment for it just like as if it’s the old DA, okay? That way I may feel glad that you’re still with me, even if we’re not on that site. 😇
