it's a really good CD, actually, it's sitting right next to the keyboard (weird!). i got it because i wanted a recording of the kabalevsky, which turned out to be really cool! it has a lot of random tchaikovsky on it which is always good : )

jdp = jacqueline du pre oh my gosh! : ) she's AMAZING and interprets everything with so much passion (see: elgar cello concerto, definitive recording) which translates to an intense bach suite experience. she's one of my favourite cellists.
mendelssohn! oh man, our orchestra teacher is obsessed! with him, we play a piece by him in chamber orchestra in almost every concert. *sigh* i mean, i like mendelssohn! but too much of a good thing, etc... anyway, i'll have to try and find a recording of that (grandparents = huge opera lovers, so shouldn't be hard x3)
