I just celebrated my 25th birthday last Thursday.  We ended up going to the beach for a few days and hit the boardwalk too.  It was a BLAST!!   So much fun!(Though I kinda feel older now. . lol!)

Oh! I do have something I'd love to hear your thoughts on!

Okay So Lately I've been thinking about Feminism, I take Women studies at my High School and I really enjoy it! I'm Proud to be a woman and I'm proud of everything women have accomplished! But I feel that often times Feminists are very anti Masculine, I live with my Father and My Little Brother and I have a deep admiration for Men (that sounds weird ), You see I feel most comfortable around Men and lately I've been relating more with Male Characters and Most of my role Models are Male (I've noticed I didn't pre-plan that ) I've never been really girly But I'm proud to be one and I live in an environment that I'm respected and needed as a Girl so I've never felt like ashamed to be one, but I feel like Feminists Think that women are better than Men and I'm not sure I agree with that.

AHHHH, Feminism is classic!!

It's werid society wise, like it's kind of a give and take, you know? I mean, like you said we HAVE come very far. A long time ago women were meant to be IN the house and take care of the HOME. And now we've expanded to being seen and operational and the work force. But other times some people take that for granted.

It kind of depends on the situation I think. I mean, I love good old fashioned chivalry. I like for the guy to pick me up for a date, if we go see a movie then for him to pay, for him to hold doors open for me, etc. Some things like that are classic. But I dislike the fact that some guys have this idea of, women still "keeping house". Or should I say for "the wife" to keep house. I think people should clean up after themselves, regardless, lol!

But I understand what you mean about having male role models. Guys who stand up for what they believe in and who courageously face things they are afraid of are role models for me. Just the idea that "I CAN" if "I KEEP GOING" that kind of thing. A will-power a think, which I think is portrayed more in men than in women. Something about the idea of men representing strength, i think it's been kind of drilled into our subconscious.

But I also think it's funny that, well to me, some people overlook the fact that it's WOMEN who gave birth to those men, and WOMEN who have "the curse" (ya know)? Not that men are strong, but women are pretty darn awesome too! But I think the idea of "strength" is a strong factor in analyzing men vs women.

Physical strength, strength to persist (will power), emotional strength; and i think it depends on the situation too. =]

And I haven't thought about it before (until now) but I do think it boils down to a lot of the different elements of "strength" and exactly what that means and how that's used and everything.
