Hi Steven,
It's been an age! Β I haven't been on Deviantart in forever! Β Probably since the last time I replied to your comment. Β How have you been?
I'm doing ok. Β Still working in Graphic Design, still not drawing much for leisure. Β I've been put on anti-depressants, which believe it or not is a good thing; I'm getting myself emotionally back on track and i'm hoping a side effect of that will be rediscovering my joy for drawing. Β It's been a long time coming and I'm probably rusty as hell, but I think it'll be good for me if I get back into the swing of it. Β What's new with you?

Hi, Kathryn,
Good for you.Β I've been on a mild anti-depressant since 2007.Β It has made a huge difference -- just ask ctryon50
I am glad to hear you are rediscovering the joy of drawing; I've always enjoyed your art and would love to see more of it here.
I turn 65 this month, the day before eldest offsproing Spielorjh turns 40.Β I am still working full-time and staying plenty busy with photography on the side.Β Other than an occasional shot with the HTC I'm entirely film these days, with classic cameras.Β I've been doing computers and networks professionally for the past three decades.Β Shooting with fully manual film cameras is my rebellion and sanity.Β It's also great fun.
Steve

Hiya, Steve!
I haven't been up to much, just working, and killing time. I haven't done any serious artwork stuff, mainly since I don't have any software at home. Maybe I should look into traditional media Least they don't require software or a power socket.

Hiya, Kathryn,
It's good to hear from you and know you're still around and at least reasonably well.
I would like to see what you could do with traditional media. I see a lot of digital painters taking up watercolors, just like a lot of us digital photographers have taken up or gone back to film. My perfectly good Canon Rebel XTi sits on the shelf while I have fun with my Yashica-D and 120 roll film. It's nice to have an original I can actually hold in my hand.
For software, I use the Gimp [link] for all my editing. It's a heavy duty package, runs on everything, and is free.
Or you could just get yourself a sketchbook and pencil and go play.
In any case, I don't think you're finished with making art. It's too much part of you to let you escape.
Blessings,
Steve

You were right! I fudged the math yet again. Oh, it brought me a step closer, yeah, but it was still wrong until I applied the new information. The Librarian's wingspan is actually about 53 in. or 132 cm, which is his height and half an arm length like you said

cool! I was trying to think of what I'd dress up as if I cosplay next year, and I was thinking about going all Hogwarts, but then I was also thinking Tsunade or someone from Naruto. I was just trying to think who I could pull off, but not many characters come to mind.
