uh oh, nothing perverse I hope.  I noticed they put signs up this year...step in the right direction.  But through out the weekend I kept hearing instances of creepers in and out of the Javits.  Like WAYY more than other years....really disheartening.  

NP, just wish I got to say happy birthday in person.  Super stoked for Katsucon tho, can't believe it's only 4 months away.

Ahaha no that wasn't the reason, and there was only a couple instances this time. Nothing too bad at all actually! XD I'm going to make this long story short, kind of.. So basically after being at the con all day for the most part on Friday, Cayleigh and my friend Marielle went to Nintendo World with me. Cayleigh and I were asked for our picture since we were still in our LoZ cosplays and it was posted to Nintendo's official Instagram, which was pretty exciting. We walked around NYC till about 11pm or so until Cayleigh got sick- no seriously she got insanely sick like bleh sick. Poor dearie.. ^~^' So when we finally made it back to our hotel, as if we weren't already feeling crappy enough we checked Nintendo's Instagram and there was a shiz ton of negative comments and rude people on our picture so yeah.    None of us really had the motivation to stay all that long at the con on Saturday.. 

Pshhh don't worry about it~ XD Ahhh that's so scary though! 0.0' I feel like I have a ton to do…

awww, what!?  that's so f'n awful.  Please don't take it to heart Hanna, or even let it get you down for a nano second.  I had a very similar experience with the sucker punch fansite when I cosplayed Cole.  Anonymous internet people are d*cks for the most part, don't know the rhyme or the reason but the format just breeds hate.  You got featured and had your work recognized on the social media page of a company you love...that's righteous :0)


haha, same here.  Classes are tough this semester, kinda seeming like an uphill battle.   I need to get some steam going before I start losing my mind in late January/early Feb.

Ahaha yeah that's very true indeed, and I must say the Reddit incident that happened just afterwards (actually a couple days ago XD) was a LOT worse than the Instagram one. Sooo many freaking perverted comments mainly because they couldn't tell if Cayleigh was a guy or not and we were playing Smash Bros. on the 3ds in the picture, so the top comment was like, "I wonder if they smashed later, and whether it was super or not". And that's basically how it continued. ^^' Buuut who cares, since the criticism wasn't that bad this time around, mostly just perverts commenting. 

Ughhh school sucks to be honest. I'm exhausted when I get home everyday. (Maybe I need more sleep? 0.0) Ooh got any special project/plans for Katsu?

Yeah definitely!   Wish I could remember where I had seen it though… Hmmm. >.>'

awww, boo!  Every time  I find myself on Reddit it's loaded with hate.  Made the mistake of going there the other day because I didn't understand the ending of an anime...never again.  All these trolls trying to dish out shame and ridicule.  That's lame Cayleigh is dealing with that,  takes a lot of guts to cosplay a different-gendered character. Waayy ambitious, but I have two crossplays I personally want done for Katsucon. I've only done it once before, but it was at Katsu so seems like a warm friendly Con to give rule-63 a go.   How about you?  :0)

LOL! I hear you there.  I'm having a lot more trouble this semester..can't believe I thought the summer was bad.  It was really just the working full time, but I'm barely working at all right now and I'm getting knocked around in a couple high level computer classes.  Their style of teaching is different from anything I've deal with the past year and a half.

Yeah seriously. People are really rude on there and it kind of pisses me off, but eh that's just how they are I guess. Oh what anime though? :3

It was Fate/Zero actually.  Had no idea that it was a sequel.  Just came up on NetFlix and I noticed Saber from an action figure a friend bought at Anime Boston awhile back. 

Aaah! Marth!?  that would be awesome!  Feels like there's going to be a ton of Smash brothers people at Katsu so you'll probably get mobbed.  I'm actually going for a manned up version of Yang from RWBY  and if I can manage to make a homemade vacuum forming machine on winter break, tackle a male Claymore.  Whaaa?  Aren't you in AP Princess Brainypants?  (and that wasn't my first choice, but you totally beat me to the punch on use of the term "smarty pants" :0p   

Just hoping i can keep up my balancing act of cos/school/gym/xbox   XD

Totally!  Did that last semester, working full time sucks!  There's almost no way to stay on top of everything unless you can go without much sleep all week and have zero social life.   I don't wish that on anybody, but kind of necessary when you need to get ahead sometimes.  

Hope you can turn it around this week, and head out for Halloween care-free and whatnot  It's one of my fave holidays personally!

Ah indeed, I can only imagine.. I've actually been focusing more on school as of late and not really having as much of a social life and my grades have actually improved a whole lot more than I thought they would. ^-^

Yeah.. ^~^' And indeed I did! It was for the most part. :3 I got a photoshoot with 'my son' which was awesome, and I think the only inappropriate thing that happened was when a guy asked to take a picture, and then afterwards asked if he could take a picture of my ass basically. I refused, but then while I was taking a picture with someone else he did it anyways. >.>' Oh wellll.

Glad to hear it! Well the son picture part,  creeper dude needs to have his camera stepped on or get pistol whipped.  A girl I was with a couple years back at NYCC got mega creeped on by a guy for photos, and she was too shy to say anything, I was trying to read her face to see if it was okay or not...but I should have known better.  I felt really bad afterwards that I let it happen, it wasn't brief... he was objectifying her while simultaneously mocking his son (i think) 's masculinity.  It was absurd.  

I just got back from DragonCon...my life is changed, lol.  I've never needed so much recovery after a con but it was really worth it, there's always something going on.  Just wish I could have finished what I was working on in time, but I"m super motivated by all the great work I saw there so now I'm really excited to finish up for NYCC.  I won't be working much either so BONUS ROUND!!!  I'm going to try to actually post progress pics and stuff, that's something I haven't had time to do in over a year.

No problem, being diligent towards your studies is a perfectly acceptable reason to not be on DA, lol.  If I was in a different program I'd probably be in the same boat, but one upside of computer science is you're expected to bring your laptop to every class, and there's ALWAYS at least a couple lulls and breaks in a 3 hour class.  

I'd like to think awareness of it is up and with proper temperament and the will to act it can be minimized at least :0)  That's good to hear, I don't think any decent person would have issue with stepping up and speaking out if you're already calling out said creeper for others to hear.   

Ooooh yes, get a scribe...stenographer....Egyptian Chisel guy to write that down somewhere for future reference.  Dragoncon is freakin BOSS!!  

Birthday huh!?  I couldn't dare turn down that invitation.  That,and as it were...I'm a sucker for cake.  It's a bit of a problem, if they had a cake eaters anonymous group I'd probably have several for chips for attending meetings.  On several occasions I've had a birthday cake basically to my self and I end up trying to finish it because I can't handle throwing it in the trash.  

I'm basically waiting on some more silicone and flex foam, I screwed up a couple times and I'm paying for it.  But determined to get it done for NYCC.
