# About me
OLGA INDIGO is an African Queen, her parents descent from the ancient royal lineage of the Dahomey Empire (former Benin from 1894 till 1975). Abomey village was the empire's epicenter where Olga’s grand mother Louise Gbehanzin created the King’s fabrics, the Queen's and Amazon Warrior's clothes. The Dahomey royal families started using these unique fabrics during the ORO feast, an ancient Yoruba cult.At the age of 5, Olga was initiated to that art of colors. Marie Rose Lima, her mother, taught her how to awaken nature’s colors of Benin : Indigo flower, cola nut, Baobab juice, Teck leaves, honey residue, Shea-tree butter, etc.
At 14 years old, Olga learned sewing. Since then she dedicates her life to her works of art on royal fabrics called AHO.
OLGA INDIGO is a very lively woman who LOVES life and people. She paints with passion and love. A mystical aura emanates from her art and her soul. Her paintings represent her joy of life! They embody the Stars, the Sky, the Earth, the Sun and the Moon. They carry joy, feast, and love in it’s every form.

I am a beginner in sewing and I adore african style dresses. I am a haitian american and according to my mom, most haitians do not have a strong connection to african culture. I'm trying to learn as much as I can so that I can be informed about my heritage.

s art and culture, i see many young people turn to shame at their own country and go on to other country's culture. People like you has more beauty in art appreciation and a nationalist soul. Beautiful art and detail, good job, you can submit your art to french galleries in there though, and spread the love of your country's culture.

I use simple fabric, 100% cotton or linen. The colors are natural (indigo flower, cola nut, Baobab juice, Teck leaves, residue of honey and Shea-tree butter). I use very few paint really! I work in clothes as well.
