It's uh...something. It's polarized my friends pretty sharply into those who are violently opposed to it as an abomination, and those who want to see it because it looks like bad fun/they want to support the fandom/Jim Carey looks like he's having a good time.

Apparently the reaction has been so bad that the director has stated they'll be changing Sonic's design. The movie's out in five months, so they'd better get cracking. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a delay to buy more time.

I know, it's so much better! And what they should have done from the start, frankly. No clue why they thought that weird-lookin' guy from before was gonna make people happy. Now to just hope the movie itself isn't awful...or that at least it's so bad it's fun to watch.
