man, you're great
i'm jealous about your photo-relationship with dad (i guess there is something like that..?) - it's really a wonderfull thing when you can learn from your parents at such a young age.
you have a beautiful gallery here, keep it up.

hey alex! great photos. its awesome to see young people still using film. I'm a teacher in Beijing. I worked as a pro photogrpher in the USA for about 10 years. If you ever have any questions you can ask me. PS I don't like getting repairs done in Beijing. Everything is overpriced. I did find a good place at the back of the camera city place near the wukesong subway line though.

hi! thanks! What school do you teach at? I go to ISB. Yeah repairs here are a bit pricey, my hasselblad's repair cost around 600 kuai. It's still cheaper than getting it sent over to the U.S. for repairs though.

I'm adoring your Holga shots--I just got a Holga myself recently and I'm trying it out around Beijing. All very amateurish, but I'm loving film more and more by the day!

I actually got them in Hong Kong because I happened to be there when I had the money...I'm finding getting 120 films processed in BJ a lot more expensive than I hoped. Any tips on that?

Oogymcgloogy In reply to zebrazebrazebra [2011-04-24 22:35:38 +0000 UTC]
Where are you getting it developed? Try the lomography store in Sanlitun, 20 kuai for B&W and about 18 for colour.

zebrazebrazebra In reply to Oogymcgloogy [2011-04-24 23:30:57 +0000 UTC]
Is that for the whole roll, or per shot?
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
Oogymcgloogy In reply to zebrazebrazebra [2011-04-25 08:26:33 +0000 UTC]
whole roll... you can't develop film per shot
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
zebrazebrazebra In reply to Oogymcgloogy [2011-04-25 08:37:49 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I know, but the little Kodak place I went to charged 10 per shot, so 120 for whole the roll, plus 30 kuai processing fee...I'm definitely gonna have to go to the Lomo store from now on!
