Florida-born, Maryland-raised. I have always loved art: Fine art, digital art, performing arts, musical arts. Although what has always stuck with me through the years are a fondness for fine art painting on canvas and cartoons. And a love for the warmer, carefree times in life.
Throughout high school, I taught myself to paint with acrylic on canvas, and every once in awhile, water color. My teachers taught me how to draw from life, how to see the bigger picture before settling in on details.
Later on, around 9th grade, I discovered this amazing, inspiring, action-packed, STUPENDOUS show called Dragonball Z! My interest in anime and manga started then and had a good influence on me looking into animation as a career. Before Akira Toriyamaβs influence, my influences have been Walt Disney, Tex Avery, Chuck Jones, and Alfred Gockel. I love the old Looney Tunes and vintage -> 1990s Disney cartoons and movies. They pushed the limit on both humor and animation techniques. Their vibrant colors, slapstick or witty humor, and fluid quality make them beloved classics. Alfred Gockel is by far one of my favorite painters whoβs still alive today. His work has life, vibrancy, contrast, and a carefree feeling I strive for in life myself.
All of these influences helped lead me to where I am today. In 2009 I graduated from The Art Institute of Washington in D.C., majoring in Media Arts and Animation. I have learned skills such as Adobe Creative Suite (CS2 and up,) ink and brush on paper, life drawing, story-telling, typography, 2D and stop-motion animation, and storyboards. (I did try my hand at 3D- that was definitely an experience!)
Finally moved back to Florida (Orlando-area) and am enjoying the warmth! Back to artwork. Keep drawing and dreaming your heart away!

well i started a new club here this is a Alvin and the chipmunks mixed or crack couples club. meaning we do not want cannon couples. im not sure if your familiar with the 80s show but the cannons are Alvin and Brittany Simon and Jeanette and Theodore and Eleanor.
as you know in a crack universes we mix and match them up with whoever we like. if you noticed my favorite crack couple is Alvin and Eleanor. I like this couple because i like to believe that once Eleanor becomes older she will loose her baby fat and become voluptuous and would drive Alvin crazy.
our main crack/mixed couples would be Alvin and Eleanor, Simon and Brittany, Theodore and Jeanette but you can draw any mixed couple you can think of. my only guidelines would be to draw them in your style (with chipmunk button noses) and as teens/young adults.
like i said my favorite is Alvin and Eleanor but you can draw whom ever you choose. if you need more ideas feel free to take a look at my gallery and the club. thank you so much and i can't wait to see what you come up with.
