yeah. I joined a contest, and the winner was chosen by that.
what was worse is that he was a stuck-up dirtbag. I came in second place, but I commented on the blog saying it wasnt a good way to vote. I clearly stated my winning position wasnt a matter, as I didnt care if I won or not (there wasnt any big prize, nor was there much competition). One of the group admins acknowledged my concern and said the next contest, they'll try to vote with actual judges. But that winner-person just came up in my face and practically said "You suck, deal with it."
What was worse was that yes, it was unfair, because his was the LEAST relevant to the contest's theme (M-rated game theme) and the least creative. And others agreed with that. His was just the most detailed and pretty.
excuse my rant, but this clearly supports what you said during my own contest, no?

yea. contest makers sometimes dont realize the popularity influence with voting polls.... unless it happens to them personally they dont always understand.....
the thing is, anyone can vote on a poll. not just the people entering. so its anything goes. and you cant control a person who wants to advertise in chatrooms or through the dA Notes. popularity prevails... thats why fixed voters or just the contest maker should decide, they know what they were looking for anyways. u had every right to be upset

anywho thanks for throwing that contest, Ominazzerd was challenging and fun to make into a gijinka.. one of my first thought were the ice head's tongue being a Tie from a suit. im gad you like it.
ive used flash alot lately, i will be moving to Photoshop next and possibly illustrator... i want to practice different styles

i know but i dont like generalizations. like fire types, rapidash has high speed and attack, so does arcanine and infernape. but look at torkoal. it has slow speed and high defences. there are always exceptions
