Since I've officially confirmed my admission to DAAP and all that now, I'm going to assault you with a barrage of questions. For example: which of the DAAP-recommended Macs did you get and has it served you well?

And I was going to get the pro, right? But I don't really NEED all the pro has to offer... and it's like... a lot more expensive. I bought a notebook which is smaller, saved me a few hundred bucks, and it does just as well.
Only it's white and gets dirty pretty fast... and everyone else has a pro. But that just makes me cooler... and with apple care if it gets too dirty you can get the face plates replaced and stuff for being to cruddy.
Anyway. That's what I did.

How much of an advantage do the pro people have over you and your notebook? Like, are they faster or something? (I know next to nothing about any of this stuff ><...)

Hahaha, nah... they are about the same. They have MORE memory, so they can run more programs at once... but if you're smart enough to count you're smart enough to understand only so many programs can be run at once.

Also: No. The black ones are not on the discount. I WANTED ONE SO BAD. I was sad to realize I could not... I had the cash, but I convinced myself it was just a colour D:<.. and got this white one.

And running a ton of programs at once only leads to crashes. My mom's Toshiba crashed two days ago and the hard drive is completely fried... she'd have like five word documents, 3 internet searches, a translation program and skype open all at once @_@.
