It's a photo of me at the Reason Rally back in 2011. The sign says "This is what an Atheist looks like."
A lot of people at the time didn't realize, and still don't, that atheists are normal people just like them. We don't have horns, we don't look like mass murders, and we don't eat babies.

As for your statement:
Atheist only means I don't hold a belief in a god. The bit about caring about religion comes in because I don't want peoples religions harming others. Child neglect in favor of prayer for medical conditions, banning birth control when it can bring down abortion rates, that kind of thing. Which is why I am personally anti theist. But some atheists are not. They simply are content to be left alone and don't want to raise a fuss.

Thanks. I was actually the original founder way back when, but I couldn't keep as active in the group as I liked. Realized when I logged back in this account was still listed as a Co-Founder. Didn't want to bother anyone with trying to get me back to member. So I just left then rejoined.

I insult religion because those who follow it are readily insulting any and all who don't follow it. When people on the religious side quit being ass hats, I will quit being one myself.


But as a side note:
I am way more vocal on the net about this stuff. If you were to meet me in person, chances are you wouldn't even know I was atheist until you noticed the A tattoo on my back, and that is typically covered by a shirt.

I am, but I don't know of any pagan pride stamps off hand. I'm Atheist, and don't actively seek those out.
