Dynamoterror sounds like the name of a c-list supervillain from the 70s.

Just noticed that your most recent artwork shows Tyrannosaurus having lizard lips, which I sicerely find it unlikely, especially since it was more closely related to birds and frocodiles.

Your latest size-comparison of marine apex predators is a bit coincidental for me: this morning I had a random thought wondering just how large the biggest marine reptiles were at birth.Β They were oviviviporous, right?Β So that made me wonder if they were still tiny like sauropods or if they stayed inside their mother and grew a bit first.Β Possibly feeding on unfertilized eggs like some modern sharks.

How come the Tyrannosaurus now has lips, all of a sudden? Didn't Β Thomas Carr's research and his discovery of the Daspletosaurus horneri show that it and other tyrannosaurus actually had croc-like mouths?

PaleoGuy In reply to GeneralHelghast [2019-07-01 23:32:09 +0000 UTC]
Not universally accepted. Same as the whole feather thing. I've worked with 3 paleontologists this year who insisted on feathers/lips, and two said no feathers, but small lips.Β

GeneralHelghast In reply to PaleoGuy [2019-07-02 22:16:11 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, but Iβm still not convinced with the part about lips fullying covering its teeth. I mean, full-lips make it too mich like a lizard and as far as Iβm concerned, dinosaurs are more closely related to birds and crocodiles.

Your art work is awesome, but can you put the copyright symbol on the bottom left? It kind of ruins the effect when it is in the middle of your art.

Your art is amazing but I would strongly recommend using more modern rendering techniques (Global illumination, subsurface scattering, etc...)
These look like renderings from the early 2000s.
Free software now is way past solving the lighting difficulties that the most expensive software had at that time.
What 3D program do you use?

Your dinosaur charts are lovely but their size makes them difficult to view. Is there a way you could try making the charts a bit smaller? I can control scroll to make my page smaller but it's still a bit of a hassle.

Just spent the last 20 minutes browsing your gallery with my dinosaur-obsessed 8 year old. Now she's in a great mood before catching the bus on a Monday - a first!
Your work is completely stunning. Thank you for sharing it here.

Yea, no problem. Your art is something a lot of people can learn on and thrive if they're not even used to drawing the prehistoric creatures .Β

Hello! Your artwork looks fantastic!Β I'm working on my own dinosaur documentary series, like Walking with Dinosaurs, but with more episodes and new, accurate dinosaur facts and models. The series will be called "Dinosauria:Β Ascension, Domination, Downfall". We have the scripts for four episodes done, two animators, a team, two of which are getting a degree in paleontology, and we have contacted two paleontologists for consultation (Jack Horner and Steve Brusatte). I was wondering if you were willing to contribute to the project in any way, whether that be ideas, artwork, 3D models, etc. Thanks!
