^.^ You are most welcome! I like to see the fantastic artwork that people post up here on DA. It's a privilege to be able to see the incredible drawings like yours that look so incredibly photo-realistic. Gives me something to aim for myself, though for now I'm only confident in black and white. I'm hoping to, one day in the future, be skilled in using ink in my more complex drawings, as well as being able to branch out into colored pencils and make photo realistic drawings like yours. :D (Big Grin)

It took me a while to start with colours... I only used to do black and white... But if you slowly start to introduce it into your work it'll become more and more comfortable :3

:D (Big Grin) No problem! I saw your work and decided that I really wanted to see more of what you're doing. Your work is more like I want mine to be like. I do mostly graphite drawings, but I hope to one day get to using inks, especially on bird drawings. You get me drawing a bird and I'll sit there drawing and grinning like an idiot.

Yes, I do like birds.

My biggest piece of advice for you is draw, draw, draw. I was terrible at this whole thing, but ever since the start of the year I've been trying to do at least one completed drawing every day. While I'll only end up around 300, I've come very far.

This was even partway into the year:

While it's not terrible, it's not very good at all.

Or even farther back, over a year ago:

It's amazing what practice does.

That's just in one year?! Just trying to do just one drawing every day? WOW...that would actually be super hard for me to do, since I spend days working on a single falcon drawing. Trying to spend that much time every day would be, whew...TOUGH. How do you find the time?

Well, try doing different things. I don't always do birds, because they do take quite a bit of effort and time. I worked on humans for sizeable portions of the years, and mammals...

Most drawings I either split over two days or do within two hours.

I just pour myself into any drawings that take me more than half an hour or an hour. If they don't take long, I just generally don't really care.

I like drawing hands. They're very complex, and because your hands can come in so many positions, it's really hard to already have a picture in your head that messes with the picture on the page. I also have been trying to make my reindeer look like reindeer and not...moose.
