Hehe yeah. It was a great opportunity so I quit the job I got like 2 months before and moved to vienna Rabcat is working with playground games on the project right now, its interesting to see how such a large game is developing. Unfortunatly Im environment artist though, so no car modeling for me

yeah must be exciting man, brand new studio filled with all sorts of awesome devs and working on their first title must be sweet. I'd say environment is more important than the car, can't wait to see some screens of it (hopefully E3)

Hah, well Rabcat has been working on several other titles before (they modeled vehicles for Forza3 and both test drive unlimited games for example) so its not their first AAA title. Creating the whole game environment is a huge new task though. Also I cannot wait for some E3 news of the game as well.

I see - so are Rabcat designing the entire environment then, and Playground doing the cars/gameplay? That's a huge task, make good work of it

Well, we are creating the environment. We got the roads and instructions/references how things should look like and are doing all the modeling and texturing work. Playground is doing the gameplay and programming, cars are coming from previous Forza games (but I think playground will create a couple of new vehicles as well. If they dont model them at their studio they are coming from some outsourcing studio in china or where ever you got a cheap workforce ).
