That link and poem was trippy -- the video was the sort that made me rewatch it, this time really paying 100% attention. Thank you for linking me!

You're welcome! I lost count of how many times I watched it. I read the words in the description lots too until I had a really clear visual image of the scene in my head.

Hope you're having a fantastic day!

Yeah, sometimes a visual something really catches my eye and I feel the need to write. Abstract artwork is harder to get inspired from because it's usually pretty, but it's hard to sense a message or emotion in it.

I remember there was this great project: *fotoFRIDAY which would post photographs and have writers create something off of them. It was very fun.

It's also sometimes difficult when you see this really amazing painting, full of emotion and power; you never feel that the writing the image inspired is "good enough" or really does justice to that emotion. Know what I mean? =]

You're welcome!

Oooooh, like a secret hideaway behind a waterfall? I used to...or still do read a comic about a superhero type dude who has many awesome hideouts and his main home is behind a waterfall. I love the phantom in all his purple lycra clad waterfall hideway goodness. HE EVEN HAS A TREEHOUSE.

I'm not crazy.

Thank you for adding my pic to your collection..... you inspired me to work on another pic of a treehouse....
BTW I hear it's super hot down there - I hope you're all doing well.....

That treehouse is amazing! Is it even accessible? I really love treehouses...

The heat isn't bad where I am, it's mostly affecting those in the southern parts of Australia. *phew*

david6of7 In reply to Paperdaisies [2009-02-02 17:02:55 +0000 UTC]

Your question is quite an interesting one
It's funny in that the treehouses give me (in person) a sense of accessibility but then common sense takes over and I see that they are quite high and not something to climb into - unless you're a squirrel lol

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Paperdaisies In reply to david6of7 [2009-02-02 17:07:20 +0000 UTC]

I'm not that great with heights...but if there's a treehouse involved...sometimes I think it would be cool to be a squirrel or a monkey or some other tree loving animal!

I once bought a beautiful book about treehouses from around the world and I've been in love ever since.

You have piqued my curiosity in treehouses - I will look around for more treehouse pics

Paperdaisies In reply to david6of7 [2009-02-03 00:21:49 +0000 UTC]

I don't know if there are that many on deviantart...to get the full taste of the awesomeness of treehouses you need to see images from a book by Pete Nelson (he has HEAPS of treehouse books) or just use plain old google. BUT if you find awesome treehouses on DA you must send me a link so I can consider it as an addition to my collection...
