I guess I should just ask, first; season one seemed really straight forward, portals are taking your ocs, fight for your life, the same song and dance that's been used sure but it has very few limitations, this season I'm just... confused oo;
So basically our ocs have to be from modern times and play this video game, sure they can be from around the galaxy but they have to play this game, then the fighting doesn't take place in real life, but in the game oo; so say, we wouldn't be able to enter an actual warrior, the avatar can be anything we want but mentally our character will be the person playing them??

They're from around the galaxy yes. They've been selected as the "best of the best". They are all playing the game against each other. You can enter a warrior like character who chooses a warrior like avatar. But yes, the avatar can be whatever within the guidelines of the artist's comments on the template. Mentally, whoever is playing the game will be the personality of the character. It's like a basic rpg. You win once your opponent's life force has been reduced to zero.
