# About me

I am Taylor Anne Hallin. Some people call me "the miracle baby" and this is my story.
I was born, weighing only one pound and eight ounces. You can I say that I was the size of a dollar bill. I used to be able to fit in the palm of my uncle's hand. The doctors had to take me away from my mother the moment I was born and place me into an incubator. The nurses had to use special gloves to touch my sensitive skin. My lungs were not fully developed, so I had to be put on a breathing monitor. The doctor told my family that I wouldn't make it through the night after my monitor went off. My grandpa was calling priests all over town to see who would be willing to come to the hospital and baptize me, while my grandma and mother weeps for me. They'd already lost my two baby sisters, they couldn't lose me too. I was baptized before dawn. I was still breathing when the sun came up and my monitor never went off again. I had proved the doctors wrong by breathing. On that very day, I was given the name "miracle baby" I still carry my scars, scars that remind me every day that I have a purpose in this world. And, that my purpose is probably greater than I could ever imagine.
