I like direction from the photographer. I often do my own makeup, but this makeup was done by my friend Brenna. 

I can do my own poses, but direction is always good.

The reason is i ask is somewhat philosophical in nature. As a model, it's very easy to stay distant from the creative aspect of the human figure photograph. The model is after all the subject, not the artist.

But nowadays you can be the artist! Take a moment, for example, and think about what poses, or clothing, or colors, or illusions, would make for a great piece of art. What would you like to see in a photograph of an attractive woman. Maybe you could sketch it out, or collaborate with a photographer to make what's in your mind's eye come to life.

You don't have to contort your body in some unusual way to get people to take a second look, instead appeal to their sense of aesthetic. Clothing that evokes texture, or a pose that evokes emotion can be quite appealing, especially when it's simple and unsophisticated. The camera likes your features and your physique, so you don't have to concern yourself with that, but think how you can use your figure as artistic expression and how you can blend your poses with color and motion to create a sense of place, or story, or emotion, that connects with the viewer.

Carefully considered, photos of you can tell a story or let us see a little about the person you are deep down...

I will try to do that next time I model for someone. I am very interested about everything you're saying! I have suggested many shots to photographers, but they always want positive, and 50s style photos. I always wish to take photos based on my personality, but shown through body language.
