Boxing day is December 26th (the day following Christmas) on this day servants (anyone directly serving a higher class person who could afford it) would get gifts from their masters, (thus the BOXING title). A more modern version of this that in Ontario people get the day off with pay (probably why this is seen as a Canadian holiday). Other places celebrate Boxing day as well, the U.K. (not naming all of those, sorry), Hong Kong (NOTE! This is a city...), Australia, New Zealand, and Malaysia also recognize this day as Boxing day. This time is also used as a time for hunt in the United States and the United Kingdom. (and my brain is out of stuff.)
