Hey there! I was wondering if you had any pictures of your finished ferret mount? I'm super curious to see how it turned out

I've got some pics up.Β I used a really bright flash to show off every detail since the lip line does have faults.Β When it's up on the shelf in normal light it is not nearly as noticeable.Β 225$ shipped (reduced due to lip line).Β Pics on my page.Β Let me know either way so I can offer it to others if you're not interested.Β Also have some pelts for sale if you want to mount your own.

Ooo, I gave it a look! It's so fluffy! Unfortunately the pelts were snatched up before I could take a proper peek, haha. He looks cute, though I'm wondering about the lip line a bit.. Could I possibly trouble you for a few more photos, showing him displayed , or in natural sun? I'm also curious if you possibly have more ferret pelts or ones that you'll be mounting. Thanks!

also, since you seem to do a lot of hooved animals, would you know where I could find a form for a common sheep? Not the bighorn ones, I'm looking to do a common or small ish sized female sheep, the wool sheep. I can't find a mold though, and most of the bighorn molds I found are very large malesΒ

I don't think anyone makes a domestic sheep. They are not common mounts. You'll have to wire wrap.

also, I know it's uncommon, but I seen a few cases on etsy of people finding little wolf pups who sadly passed due to natural causes, and they sell the fur, so on the rare chance I ever find one of those, what would one do for a wolf pup form? Same for a coyote/fox kit?

Wire wraping is when you make a wire frame, cover it in cotton stuffing and wrap that with cotton string to make a 'form' for the skin to go over. It's how traditional taxidermy was done.Β As for a wolf pup it would depend on how big it was

i gotta ask you a question! Β i just got an awesome lamb soft mount, but her body is just.. way too light. Β her head ended up being very heavy since they skipped a foam base due to the fact there aren't lamb head bases. Β i really like what you did with the rice in your ferrets. do you have any tips for restuffing her at least partially with rice? Β do i sew the rice into a fabric 'pillowcase' type thing first? Β i've always also had trouble with thread unravelling. Β i've heard that dental floss is a good alternative that's strong and holds up on taxidermy. Β what say you?

I just put the rice in, but there were no holes or tears in the hide. Β I use Dual Duty thread it's really strong stuff! Β I'd leave the stuffing in the legs and just put rice in the body good luck!

This may be a very stupid question, and I am not requesting you to do anything, but I was just curious to know if it's possible for someone to make a character with taxidermy. Say if I wanted my oc that I created as a real life taxidermy animal, can some people do it? I don't actually want it, it was just a thought that came to mind and I wanted to ask :3

Depends on what your OC looks like and how far from a 'normal' animal it is.Β If it's like a fox with antlers then: yes.Β If it's more of a neon colored sparkle dog: probably not.
