It's been pretty good. Gaia's been turned on its ass even harder than before so I'm rarely on it now.

Omg, don't worry man, that's just the "learning curve". It happened to me too and it happens to everyone who uses tablet for the first time. You just need to get used to it. If you ever get one, keep practicing and practicing and one day you'll find that you draw as good on tablet as on paper (for me, though, I can never draw as good on tablet as on paper, it seems... still need to find better techniques lol) 
Actually to tell the truth I liked "that artist" (lol) at first but then later I began thinking "Why do they have so many watchers...?? Their art is kinda average..." 
Thanks for all the support :' ) the truth is once I did try posting my art on dA and it got only a few views. But that was probably like a year or two ago. Perhaps I will try doing it again lol, idk though :' ) Sometimes I think it depends on luck, some really good artists never get that many views/watchers, while some average artists like aforementioned one get lots.
(omg I've never heard of people who are sick with clean/smooth strokes XD those must be some cool artists over there)

Yeah, me too. I actually prefer her previous style. Traditional drawing of FF characters with the use of color pencils and it really looks marvelous! It's also the reason why I watched her at first. If only I knew that she'd change styles I would have just downloaded all of her drawings back then.. *sighs* u.u and now she's pretty much average to me, unlike before that I always look forward to it (
It's more of patience too. Though I don't deny the luck thing XD  I get an average of 2-5 faves on my first drawings until I tried joining groups to feature it to other deviants. And I still get a few faves and watchers compared to most. But I still try posting so that if ever someone watches me and sees my improvement, at least they're there already. I can't just suddenly hoard hundreds of watchers and page views but you know the staying, it's better to start now than later. And one step at time XD
Actually, I appreciate both clean and one with many strokes types unlike my friend artists who got really sick of it already. But I sometimes get more inspire by those with seen strokes than with too clean types. Hmm, for example, these too very famous artists: and who both really great but with different approach to texture or smoothness. Both are really amazing right? But the thing with Alicexz's art is that, her digital art captures the emotion it should have, the picture that really make our mind imagine yet it still preserves that aspect of it being an art. She can make it look real without making it too perfect or like a photo already. It still looks like an art, not a photo. And I like it. I still like sakimichan but maybe artists like her who paints digital arts too neatly are very common already. but I love her arts too, really, really love. It's just that I think by the time I get used to digital art I might find it hard not making it smooth. Coz you know even in tradiotional I tried many times to make messy paintings (because my best friend can do it like that and it's still beautiful), but I also end up cleaning the mess or put another layer and make it clean or smooth T.T
Oh and another one with seen brush strokes or not too photoish art but you might know her since she's so good and famous already TvT

Omg haha :' D Yes it's sad when your fav artists suddenly change styles to a style you don't like. Although it doesn't happen so often. Maybe a lot of those watchers are also watchers from back when she used to do traditional FF drawings? haha idk.
Also I think one thing I didn't do is try to spread my art by posting it to groups. I only found out from my friend this year that you can't just expect ppl to watch you just by posting good art on your page, you need to "advertise" it in groups (and now I also hear this from you, so maybe that's what I will do :' D) And you're right, at first you probably gain only a few watchers but then as they see you improve, your art may get more famous and more ppl will start to like it :' D since I really need money, I'm thinking I really should start spreading my art around, then when I get watchers I might do commissions and stuff haha :' D although that day may be pretty far off.
I love those artists too (I didn't see Alicexz before, thanks for showing me, her art is so beautiful :'D) I think what I was trying to say by "clean/smooth strokes" is that my hand on tablet is not steady, so it often ends up wiggling and not going where I want it to, and when I try to line my art it ends up looking too simple because the draft/sketch has lots of lines and the final drawing doesn't have enough. If that makes sense. I'm trying to find a way to improve my lining and make it more steady lol.
What I like about those semi-realistic pictures by those artists is, like you said, the emotion it captures. Often with too-simple art, like a lot of manga art (with just straight simple black lines) there is not enough realistic emotion, or so I find, that I can connect with. But I do draw that kind of art OTL so maybe I should try out a more semi-realistic style? haha :' D
That's funny that you end up cleaning the mess in traditional art, for me it's the opposite. I kind of like the messiness/sketchiness of my sketches, mostly because if I try to fineline the drawing it ends up too simple, just like my digital drawings. So I leave it really messy in pencil :' D

Oh please do TvT Don't worry you can delete the old ones once you think that you have improved already or reach whatever your goal is XDD And by the time you think that advertising will not be that necessary for your work to be appreciated then I think it's time to let go of some of groups already ^^
Like you said, I also like it being messy but still, my OCness gets ahead of me, and though I'm changing, it's way too slow T.T But in the case of pencils, either I draw pencils only, or pens only so that I can maintain the messiness I won't end up being OC again XDD

I guess that's what I did with the art I used to post, haha :' D I deleted all the old ones, till there were none left, but I never added new ones... :' D
There's also another problem, I'm so lazy that I think I would only put out finished arts like every once a month or something XD sometimes I do sketches and realize I'm too lazy to finish them/they look better as sketches, and it seems like I shouldn't put sketches on dA :' D tumblr, twitter, or other sites seem better to post sketches :' D and yet I'm also too shy to post them there too haha :' D
oh dear, how do you do art with pens only? I'm always afraid to do that because I always need to sketch out characters' heads and stuff before I really start drawing them and I can't do that with permanent medium XD

Lol I don't use sketches XDD I tried but I fail lol yeah, no matter what I think my style is not really using sketch although we were taught to use sketch when drawing realistically, I only use them at first and then after a couple of days or weeks, I don't use it anymore. Unfortunately I can't create the magic and shock artists give others when they draw with sketches first T.T

Wow, actually, for me, it was like, first I didn't use sketches, then later on I learned to use them :' D but now I kinda wanna learn how to draw without them because they're too much trouble :' D

Actually I'm not yet done replying, coz this whole week was sleepless coz the work training is getting harder and confusing already TT____TT And this week was the deadline of the requirements like bank forms for their payroll, background check like school records, police clearance, benefit cards for health, pension and so any stuff that unlike others who finished it early coz they already have all those, while for me, coz it was also my first job, it was so much of a hassle to try applying and registering all of those especially coz all of them close at 5 pm while my shift ends at 3 pm. They are like different locations with 30 minutes to 1 hour transportation! Talk about of teleportation if only I could T.T I always arrive home late this week and my eyes can just manage to reply dA messages and reply per paragraph on our email then save the draft. I'm just so glad that I finished everything today coz if I didn't, I will have problems on my first pay. Phew~ anyways, it's almost done and coz it's friday already you be receiving already.

Actually sempai is gonna be a young bread winner too. Coz you know the thing already with my dad. Mom's lil business having greater losses she's thinking of shutting down. My elder sis will be the one providing us a home and she doesn't send money regularly. One of the reasons why I always have a fight with my big brothers is because after everything that happened he still doesn't make a way to help us emotionally and financially. As for now, yes. we need to stop his studies coz we can't afford both our tuition fees. And then there we made a great discovery! *tantantantaaan* He only enrolls for a subject or two and he says he had a lot of subjects secretly spending the whole day in school or computer shops so that he can avoid errands and management of mom's business. I'm already on my fourth year (delayed) and he's still like an irregular first or second year -_______- *head aches* so yeah if he doesn't something good he might stay as a NEET plz don't he currently helps with family errands for the moment.

aww how can you say that? :' ( As true as the saying goes, "someone is always better than you," but it doesn't mean you won't be as good or better than anyone you know ^^

actually I'm an accounting major so as much as I want to have art majors, those are too unrelated with accounting. It is only through the college publication that I get to be exposed to new forms of art lol. we're also forced at times to avoid drawing anime and draw realistic ones for editorials and portfolios. Comparisons with art students can't be avoided though *sighs* is sad

yes the art students in my school are forced to draw realistically even though almost all of them want to draw anime style. it's because the teachers all dislike manga style haha :' ) which is why i also left that major. (this is an art high school, not a college, so it's easier to leave a major lol)
