I guess it really depends. I have no idea how the school system works in England, so I can't really compare. I'd say it all depends on what teachers you get. I used to love Spanish, but I have a complete dunderhead this year and he does not make me happy. Some students take classes at college (called Post Secondary Option) instead of taking them at the high school. By the time we're in 12th grade, we usually have enough credits so we only have to take one or two classes.
I was an idiot and filled my schedule completely though... @__@ Ah, all in the name of science...
But yes. I think school is universally boring.
