I'm great, getting close to graduation now so it's all about fine tuning the portfolio and stuff. Lotsa work to do- it's nerve wracking thinking about job interviews and stuff :S

Oh school. I'm starting back myself I kind of can't wait but also am apprehensive. What are you doing again? The university thing? They miscalculated my student loan this year so it's going to be a bother for me, too >:

I'm still in Highschool, 12th grade this year. xD Next year, though, I'm thinking of going to a junior college for two years and then transferring to an art university for my last two.
Aw man, I hate when schools mess up. :C It's a bother and then they tell you at the last possible minute. :/

guh tell me about it! I'm just glad I'm almost done with school (though with the current program I'm in (graphic design) I'd be happy if i never left!).

I'm not sure what junior college is, but my advice is to not block (normal) college out of your options because #1 it can be a truly excellent preparation for the job market #2 Universities sometimes accept credits from college or it will at least greatly increase your chance of admission to uni #3 they are often quality programs that will not only enrich you, but also your future career

I'm very biased though, as I'm in a program that I'm completely enamored with.

A junior college or community college is basically a general college for all around studies. Most people go to JC for either a small amount of college education, to study a certain subject, or to filter into other colleges. JCs are really good for completing general ed courses at a lower cost before transferring over to a UC or state college. I could actually go to art college straight out of Highschool, but the only reason I'm going to JC is because I like learning about other things besides /just//art/. So I'm going to take general ed and such for a couple of years and then study animation (well...start with it anyway) over at the university in SF. Silly American education, no?

oh ok, I guess our college is kind of similar, but our college is all bundled into one with the opportunity to transfer some credits for further education. I wish we had junior college here so my boyfriend could enroll in something before applying at university next year ;-;

I'm currently bumming around and not doing much, actually. But I got a sweet job as a church administrative assistant! Mucho bucks sitting around answering the phone.

But me working in a church is kind of like a hardcore vegan working in the kitchen at the steakhouse. It troubles me slightly.

haa, when you tell people where you work they are going to assume you are really religious. Perhaps you'd better tell them you work for some ridiculous church like church of the flying spaghetti monster. Also, don't feel bad, as long as you don't have any outright moral beefs with organized religion nobody's going to call you a hypocrite. A job's a job.

I can see where you're coming from, as an agnostic person I wouldn't want to be mistaken as a religious nut. There's a certain stigma attached to anyone overly attached to the church.

I suggest just going all out and say you work for Scientologists. Go the extra mile and hand out leaflets.
