KungFu-SuperTonic In reply to Pistol-Packin-Poet [2010-06-08 00:40:44 +0000 UTC]

None of the above. I'm was a chem major but I just switched to Diagnostics. So, nah nothing art related. Drawing is just my hobby. =}

Pistol-Packin-Poet In reply to KungFu-SuperTonic [2010-06-08 00:48:37 +0000 UTC]

darn, thought i would guess right. Most the people I met at uconn are pre-pharm students. I was one myself until i switched to allied health science. Good to know that you draw for fun. I'm doing the same, but I kinda wish that I taken some art classes.

Your style really unique. It's not to anime-ish which I really like. Do take any inspiration from anime?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KungFu-SuperTonic In reply to Pistol-Packin-Poet [2010-06-08 00:58:25 +0000 UTC]

Pre-pharm,pre-med. Yeah, half of everyone starts off that way. Lol. I started pre-med and then I was like, "oh hell no". Haha. Well art classes are reserved for art students, they don't let you take it unless you're in the major. (I talked to my advisor about it once)
Thanks, I like the keep my style somewhat realistic. I am heavily inspired by anime since I grew up on it, but I hate cliches which is why I'm trying to find my own style.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Pistol-Packin-Poet In reply to KungFu-SuperTonic [2010-06-08 01:09:58 +0000 UTC]

haha yeah it seems like it's always like that. Sucks that art classes are only for art majors.

Yeah, your style is very different. Glad it isn't the cookie cutter anime style I usually see on dA. But its good that you are finding a style that is distinct and not full of cliches. I would like to see more

What anime do you usually watch? And are you part of the anime club at uconn? Kinda wanna check it out.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KungFu-SuperTonic In reply to Pistol-Packin-Poet [2010-06-08 01:18:57 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. I'll definitely be putting up more art this summer especially since I've got more time.

Ah, anime. I'm not as into it as I used to be. The last anime I watched that could have been considered recent is samurai champloo... Lol. As you can see I'm really out of the loop, but I like reading manga. All the anime I watch are the oldies, like bebop, Rorouni Kenshin, Ghibli films. etc. You? know of any good anime out?
Nah, I'm not part of the club. I dunno what they even do. Do they just watch anime? Oh hey you going to Connecticon? I heard that it got good recently, when I went to years ago it was meh.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Pistol-Packin-Poet In reply to KungFu-SuperTonic [2010-06-08 01:57:49 +0000 UTC]

Ah good good. Can't wait to see what you can draw up.

Ah those are really classic anime. Especially the Ghibli films. I would recommend FLCL, Midori no Hibi, Great Teacher Onizuka, Baccano, and Durarara.

FLCL is a really odd anime but I like it a lot because of the theme of maturity and the inside jokes it makes from other anime like Lupin the Third and Hamtaro lol. Plus the characters are well established and the overall anime is very funny.

Midori no Hibi, I would recommend if you like romance and humor in your anime. I don't even know why I watched it, but it's a very cute show. It's about a guy who gets a girl as his left hand because he wanted a girlfriend so bad but all the girls he approached rejected him due to his aggressive behavior. I would recommend the manga more though because they alter the anime a little bit.

Great Teacher Onizuka is another hilarious anime, but I would recommend the manga as well because they ended the show too soon. It's about a teacher who was a former biker gangster who teaches a class of delinquents by being their friend and helping them out with their problems. It's sorta pervy, but its really funny and incredible how they make you care about each and every character they show. You could definitely relate to some of the characters and their problems.

Baccano takes place in the 1930's and includes alchemy, the mafia, and a mysterious creature called the Rail Tracer. The story telling is kind of hard to get used to as it jumps around the timeline a lot. But the characters are all likeable even the one from the mafia. All the character's story clash with another so its fun to see what happens at the end when it is all connected. And of course its a very funny anime that you should try to watch.

Durarara is similar to Baccano but its more modern. It is from the same author of Baccano and all the characters are really interesting. Like the headless rider who searches for it's head. It doesn't really jump around as much as Baccano, so it is easier to get into. Only downside is that its still ongoing and is ending this month.

Currently I'm watching Bakemonogatari and Katanagatari. Bake- is way too pervy and artsy for my liking so I wouldn't recommend it. But I only watched it because of the relationship between the protagonist and the girl he saved. And I just watched the first ep of katanagatari and its alright.

I asked about the anime club because I haven't gone to a single meeting and it seemed interesting so I might join next semester. This year, I'm not going to Connecticon because they moved the date forward to July where I'm going to go on a trip to Arizona and California. But I would totally go because it seemed interesting last year when I went for the first time. I wouldn't know if it was better, but they cater to everyone rather than just anime fans. Are you going this year?

KungFu-SuperTonic In reply to Pistol-Packin-Poet [2010-06-08 02:07:36 +0000 UTC]

Woah. Long response. Lol. I've heard of the first three you mentioned. I liked FLCL too. I'm also reading GTO intermittently though it's just alright for me. I'll look up the last two since I haven't heard of them.
Actually I really dig Soul Eater and I think they've been making an anime out of it. Have you read/watched any of it?

Ah, good luck with anime club then? =}
Ah, yeah two years ago it was sub par, but my friends went last year and they just raved about it. So I'm going this year, I'm hoping the cosplayers are better. That's too bad, but I bet you'll have a better time in Cali anyway. Lol. Especially since they have a larger asain and Cambodian pop. You visiting family?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Pistol-Packin-Poet In reply to KungFu-SuperTonic [2010-06-08 02:35:57 +0000 UTC]

lol sorry for the long reply. Yeah Baccano and Durarara are fairly recent. For Baccano I recommend the Dub version. The whole season of Baccano is on youtube. I heard Soul Eater is really good but never gotten around to read it. I do hope that the anime club isn't what I expect it to be. I don't really hang out with people who love anime. Most of my friends just watch it like a cartoon and never they really indulge themselves within the otaku culture like other people would.

The cosplayers at CTcon were really good. There was this really good cosplayer who dressed up as Midna from Twilight Princess. I hope you have a good time attending Connecticon. And I hope I have a good time in the west too, I usually do though. And the Long Beach, CA area has a large Cambodian population for sure. It's like how Lowell is the Khmer hotspot in the east coast. Have you ever been to Lowell or Cali before? And yeah I'm visiting my family and also trying to work a bit over there at my uncle's donut shop just to add something on my resume since I'm not doing much else during the summer.

Do you have any plans for the summer other than Connecticon?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KungFu-SuperTonic In reply to Pistol-Packin-Poet [2010-06-08 02:46:29 +0000 UTC]

Haha, don't worry about it. Okay, I'll take a gander at youtube then. Soul eater is pretty good. Hmm what do you expect anime club to be like? I'm pretty sure it'll just be viewings of the most recent and popular animes. (Just a hunch though)
Ah, that's too bad that you haven't any friends who're really into anime. I've never had problem meeting people who were interested in it, so I can't really relate? Well now there's me I suppose? Well I'm not that into it anymore, it's more like I want to make my own. Haha. (Far off dream)

Yeah, I've been to both Lowell and Long Beach(Though long Beach can be dangerous sometimes)so my family and I don't go by there often. I used to live in California when I was younger that and I go back to Cali often to visit family too. I attended some of the dragon boat races in Lowell, it's super fun.

My summer plans were during early summer so now I'm just trying to build a portfolio and maybe try to get some commissions.

Pistol-Packin-Poet In reply to KungFu-SuperTonic [2010-06-08 03:06:48 +0000 UTC]

Maybe I'll check out Soul Eater. Honestly I don't know really to expect. From what I heard from other anime clubs, there are people who watch anime religiously and act like the Otakus in japan. But what do I know? Maybe it's different at Uconn.

Yeah, my friends either aren't really into anime that much, or its that they lost interest with it. But that's cool that you have friends that like anime as much as you do. I'm glad that you are willing to talk to me about anime and art. Maybe we should hang out next semester if we aren't too busy with work. But your own anime/manga? that sounds cool. Have you thought of making a comic? You could definitely do it. My friend is the author and drawer of Metal Breakdown and he influenced me to start working on one. But I'm just too lazy to actually put effort to draw it. but I do have a story I really wanna tell.

Yeah I heard that Long Beach is really dangerous so I haven't gone there in a while. What part of Cali did you live in? I'm going around the Sacramento and Stockton area. And dragon boat races? That sounds pretty fun. I haven't gone to Lowell in a while so I kinda wanna know how it is there. Ooh Commissions should be fun. I haven't done any myself but it would be cool to see characters in your own unique style.

KungFu-SuperTonic In reply to Pistol-Packin-Poet [2010-06-08 04:09:44 +0000 UTC]

Yeah... My high school anime club was like that. I wouldn't keep my hopes too high up, but hopefully they'll be cool. Lol. (I feel like saying, oh who am I kidding?) But still their passion makes it cool. =}

Yeah, np. Though I don't know how much fun it'll be talking to me since I'm out of the loop now a days. I read his Metal Breakdown, it's really good. =} I got the end and was like, "aww no more to read?" I have several different stories that I want to draw, I have characters, their back stories, plot development and everything. I just don't have the time to draw, that and I'm a traditional artist so I waste paper and screen tone if I mess up. =< I need to get used to my tablet. And yeah, we can hang out. Lol. I say this now but I barely have time to see my friends during the year either, lol. We'll see. =}

I used to live in Southern Cali, like an hour up from LA. It's so awesome in Cali, all the food, and culture. I hope you have an awesome time! Hopefully I get to go up this summer too. You should go to one of the Japan towns, I went to little tokyo it's a little dinky but you can tell me how the other ones are like! (lol) I haven't been to a boat race in while either. They hold them in the summer i think. I'm gonna go look it up now.

I haven't done any irl commissions. I should though, I'd feel less guilty spending my summer this way. Sigh.

Pistol-Packin-Poet In reply to KungFu-SuperTonic [2010-06-08 20:01:10 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it is hard to make a transition from drawing on paper to drawing on a tablet. But you'll definitely get the hang of it. What program are you using? Photoshop? The thing about drawing digitally, you need to learn the secrets of your photo editing program, otherwise you might as well draw on paper. The reason why I made the transition was that I couldn't ink on paper. One mistake and I just screwed up the whole drawing. At least with the tablet there's an undo button (my lifesaver). You could definitely draw on paper and then scan it and then ink it digitally.

Same for me for hanging out. I'm trying desperately to be busy next semester while working and doing my hours for physical therapy school. I'm sure there are other things we could talk about other than anime. What kind of activities do you do at Uconn? I kinda need to be involved more because I've been slacking up until now.

Ah Southern Cali, I've been around that area before and it's especially fun next to the beach because it's completely different from what I experienced with the beaches around southern CT. I hope I could get out more this year so I can see the culture and try out the food, but I just feel too overwhelmed to venture out. Maybe that will change once I go.

Don't worry, I wasted this summer doing absolutely nothing. Staying up late for nothing and just being lazy. And we have a long way to go before the next semester start, so don't fret. lol.

Well at school, besides classes I'm involved in ASACC. More specifically with the styles of Asia event that occurs in the spring semester. To tell you the truth I have no problem keeping busy during the school year, if anything I'd rather be less busy.

Connecticut beaches are miserable. Beaches elsewhere are ten times nicer and warmer. We don't even have waves because of the Sound. I suppose it's ok though because we at least have beaches. If you're visiting family you could ask them to take you around?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Pistol-Packin-Poet In reply to KungFu-SuperTonic [2010-06-09 02:56:49 +0000 UTC]

I just believe that it's better to be busy than just have free time. Too much free time is sometimes a waste of time. I learned this when bumming around this summer. Just kinda sucks to wait around for the next event to come along. That's why I want to be as busy as possible next semester with possibly working at the dining halls, doing my hours for physical therapy, and 17 credits of school. I should have known that you would be involved in ASACC because of the dresses you posted. Maybe I should go to the events next semester. How are the events there? And if you ever need help, would you mine asking me? I always wanted to help out with the ASACC but never got around to ask how to help.

Yeah the beaches here suck. Not gonna lie. I live right near a beach that's about 10 5 mins away in West Haven, and there isn't much to do. All there is is a huge field for people to play catch or fly kites or what not. The scenery is nice but the California Beaches are amazing compared to CT.

I wish I could have my family take me around, but there's not many people near my age to just bring me where I wanna go randomly. Most of the people there are adults and children. But I guess I should actually venture off with my mom whenever she goes to the market for fun. All I do over there is just play and babysit the kids lol. I hope this year is different.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KungFu-SuperTonic In reply to Pistol-Packin-Poet [2010-06-09 03:37:17 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. Too much free time is a waste. ASACC always has a lot going on. There are events like Homecoming, we always destroy at lipsync. You should just drop in anytime, everyone there is super cool. Yeah, if I ever need any help I'll give you a shout. (Though I'm only in charge of one of the many events hosted by the center.)

That sucks about not having any relatives your age. My cousins are all around my age from maybe 5 years younger up to maybe 9 years older? My favorite cousins are 5 and 7 years older than me, but we're just like sisters so it doesn't feel like a large age gap. Well hopefully you get some whole family time out somewhere cool?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Pistol-Packin-Poet In reply to KungFu-SuperTonic [2010-06-09 20:40:31 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I'll definitely try to help around whenever I get the chance.

That's cool, my cousins in Arizona are the same age as me and we are like brothers and sisters but in Cali it's a little different. In AZ, I could just kick back and be me and my family there would accept it. But in Cali, since I'm either looked up to or seen as a kid still, I gotta watch what I do. But yeah, maybe I could have some room to roam around.

Oh I forgot to mention in my recommendations, Gurren Lagann and the Black Jack series. Katanagatari is pretty good, but only 6 episodes were released so far. Eureka Seven is one of my favorites, but it's a slow developing show with about 50 eps.

Sorry for the long response time. Been a bit busy lately.

That's a little unfortunate that you have to be on your toes. But I do hope you get free time or get to look around. The Asian community is just to much larger there so there's just a lot more culture there than we can ever find over here. Well, I hope you have a good time either way. I'll take a look at those animes.

It's alright, I'm just happy that you're taking time out of your busy schedule to even talk to me. I've been stressin' lately since i had to manage packing and hanging out with friends this whole week since I leave today. But I hope that I have a good time too and I hope you have a good time during the rest of your summer. Especially when you go go to Connecticon. Are you going to cosplay or are you just going there just for the events? Either way, I bet it'll be better than the other times you go.

It's no problem. =} And to tell you the truth, I'm probably not gonna cosplay. My friends and I have said that we were going to go as FFVII advent children every year. But we all know we'll never as a combination of extreme laziness and slight reluctance.

Since you mentioned FFVII Advent Children, are you into games? or just the FF7's universe?

KungFu-SuperTonic In reply to Pistol-Packin-Poet [2010-06-28 20:30:02 +0000 UTC]

I am a gamer, but the concept of old school applies to games as well. I don't play as much now as I did when I was younger. I played a lot of games, not just final fantasy. You know Chrono Trigger, zelda, mario, a bunch of the tekken series, some of the street fighters, final fantasy, mana, etc. I'm more into RPG and fighting games.

Lol. I would go as Yuffie. I have the shortest hair of our bunch and it's the right length. My friends are pretty lazy, lol. And it's just not right if you only do one person. If you do it, you gotta do it right: ALL OUT with guns blazing. If you know what i mean. Yeah, i still kinda want to cosplay, but to get an accurate outfit done in time will be difficult now. Haha. My sister and I were talking about cosplay last night too.

Pistol-Packin-Poet In reply to KungFu-SuperTonic [2010-06-29 09:06:40 +0000 UTC]

Awesome, I bet you can kick my ass in all those fighting games. Like Tekken and Street Fighter I can't play at all because when I was younger all I had was Super Street Fighter II Turbo, but the game was so fast for me I couldn't really play it at all. Fighting game wise, all I played was Mortal Kombat because the characters were pretty cool. But I'm totally stoked for Marvel vs Capcom 3 because comic books are pretty awesome and MvC2 was pretty kick ass. But, I do like playing RPGs too! Series like Final Fantasy, Persona, and Kingdom Hearts I can totally get into. I totally wanna play some Chrono Trigger, but I never got around to play it. What are your thoughts on the other games in the FF series? You should play some Persona 3 or 4 because its like an interactive anime and in my honest opinion, it is better than most of the games in the FF series.

Yeah I totally know what you mean with cosplaying. You absolutely go all out if you want to actually look like the person you are suppose to be. At least that is what I would do if I ever decide to cosplay. Too bad I don't really look like any anime or game character because of my complexion. And yeah, I'm guessing that time is an issue to get your costume matching her outfit. But if you had the time to do it, you would definitely be able to pull it off.

Did I ever reply to this comment? I swore I did, but now that i see it sitting here in my messages I get the horrible sneaking feeling that I probably didn't....
Lol.

Well. I don't play tekken anymore but I only got back into it because one of my friends comes over and we maul each other for fun and smack talk online for kicks and giggles.
And mortal combat. Lol. So old. I remember the movie they made of it. I just remember this one line that scorpion said, "GET BACK HERE!"
Chrono trigger is an extremely LONG AND TEDIOUS GAME, it is extremely complex and every decision you make in the game results in a different outcome. It's classic, you should play it, but only when you have the time to. It's an Investment of your time and concentration.
The older final fantasies are pretty cool but that's only if you can stand back tracking in graphic and gameplay capabilities. If you don't mind old school games they're pretty good. I liked 8 and 9 is really good. I don't know why it doesn't get as much credit as 7 or 10, though those two did revolutionize the concept of games at their time.
I'll take a look into persona, though I've never heard of it before.

Lol. Yeah, I secretly desperately want to cosplay. But there's a lot that goes into it. Like I think if you want to cosplay you need to get into character and figure out someone who's of your body type. You can't go around cosplaying tall characters if you're short or cosplaying hard looking characters if you have a baby face. I understand it's about the fun and the fandom really, but people should really put effort and thought into it.
Are you darker skinned? And thanks. That means a lot, her outfit isn't too bad. It's actually pretty modern, but buying, collecting, and altering the pieces would be a pain especially if none of my friends are willing to do it too. =<

And I swore I responded to this. Sorry it took so long.

Connecticon is starting soon. I hope you have a blast! I really wish I could have gone D: Tell me how it is.

You say you play online? What system do you play on? Xbox? PS3? I doubt the wii lol.

Have you played Tekken 3? I remember the only reason why I played was because of the orange Dinosaur named Gon and the Beach Ball Mode. and yeah MK is pretty old and the recent games were pretty crappy. Scorpion yelling "Get over here" and "toasty" are one of the reasons why I keep on playing. BUT there's a reboot and I'm sooo excited for it. It looks pretty badass. The movies were pretty terrible, but there is this live action short that was pretty awesome. It has a Saw vibe to it. The link to it is down below.

Damn, i never knew that Chrono Trigger was that complicated. Maybe after I'll graduate and have some free time I'll play it on the DS. I heard its one of the best, so I'll definitely put it on my to do list.

I can only play the older FF on my PSP because graphics back then are an eye sore now. So at least in a lower definition I could stand it. I love the older Final Fantasy's too. X and VIII are my favorites. I guess the reason FFVIII had no love was that it had a very complex drawing system where you stock up magic rather than have mana and learn spells. Putting aside the flaws, VIII is my favorite because it was my first RPG and it had a pretty awesome love story :3. I would love to play the others in the series but I barely have time to sit down and play.

Persona is pretty badass. But it more of a turn based traditional RPG with specific roles in magic and powers of each character. Though it sort of like the Sims meets Final Fantasy meets pokemon. You have to level up your social rank with you friends in order to get exp boost when fusing personas. You'll definitely get into it if you like FF.

Cosplaying would be super fun because of you becoming the character. But what you say its true. You Gotta heavily research the characters you can pull off. BUT I rather cosplay as characters from animes or games I played or watched. Otherwise it wouldn't be as fun. Maybe you can cosplay as her at the next connecticon. You have a whole year to plan it out so you should definitely do it! And yeah I'm darker than most Asians so that means I can't really cosplay as anybody really and in the summer I become so dark that the looks I get from my friends are kinda scary. It's like they just look astonished at how dark my skin can get.

And again, no worries. I often do that at times too when I think of responding to emails and messages and never do.

Awww. I know. I feeeeeeel horrible. I was thinking, oh why haven't I gotten a reply back and then I saw that I didn't reply in the first place. I was like Cr*****************************p. Lol. Sorry for making you feel that way. Friendly reminders would be lovely sometimes too, I'm not adverse to them. =}

Yeah, I'm going on sunday cuz I'll be busy tomorrow. I'll take a bunch of pictures and upload them so you can see, then! =}

I own Tekken 3. That was the main reason I got into tekken. I used to play at the arcade all the time when I was younger. A reboot? is that a remake or something? I haven't seen saw and that first picture on the screen was enough to deter me from watching. Sorry I did want to watch, but it looks icky. X{

Actually I have a PS3. I don't play online all the time though, on rare occurrences because I don't get a lot of free time and I can't allow myself to spend it on the console. I feel guilty if I do. Lol.

I really like VIII too. Yeah they decided to switch up the game play instead of having job classes and all. I still really liked it.

Yeah Chrono trigger is nearly impossible to beat. It's loooong. I mean you can technically end the game anytime but it's damn near impossible to defeat the bosses that do end the game earlier. *I used cheat codes at one point cuz I got fed up*

I love the sims and final fantasy! And actually turn based systems don't really bother me. The only real time games I've played are the KH series. What console is persona for? Or is it Pc?

Lol. Yeah. We can get pretty dark, though it hasn't happened to me since softball. That and my mom gets pissed if I spend too much time in the sun and/or get tan. You could go as Mugen from champloo, he's pretty dark skinned. I would totally go as Fuu, (my friend is getting a sugar glider and now I want one so badly. If I get one i'll definitely call it Momo just like her flying squirrel.)

It's no problem lol. Really. It's cool. I'm just happy that you take time out of your day to even chat with me a little.

I hope you had fun at ctcon so far. Anything cool happen?

Damn, I remember when fighting games were the shit at arcades back then. Now it's hard to find a decent arcade place nowadays. And yeah they are basically remaking MK2 which is awesome. And the movie is pretty gruesome.. not for the fainted heart lol.

Oh that's cool. Unfortunately, I have a 360. Wish I had a ps3 though since I grew up with a ps1 and the upcoming games look pretty fun to play. But, I'm sort of glad you spend your time wisely than just play video games. I really respect that.

Persona 3 and 4 are for the ps2 so dust it off and have a blast. I'm sure you'll have fun. And just like the FF series, there isn't much of a connection to each game other than some easter eggs and cameos which means that you can dive straight into 3 or 4 if you want. I just recommend playing 3 then 4 because of the advances of the battle system. Or you can even get Persona 3 Portable for the PSP.

Softball? You play alot of sports? Yeah, I get dark really fast when im outside. Hmm, Mugen would be pretty awesome to cosplay, but I don't think I could get my hair like that and he is pretty tall lol. But you could totally pull off Fuu too! lol. You're lucky that you can cosplay as so many characters.

Alright, if you say so. =}

Actually I ended up not going. =< I was busy from earlier in the week till friday moving out of charter, it took freaking forever. And then Friday I had to go to NY to send of my bf's little brother at the airport and then Sunday I ended up sleeping in late. (I guess I didn't hear my alarm) And it wouldn't be worth it to pay for a weekend pass if I'm only going to enjoy one day and barely half a day at that. Those tickets are expensive! Sigh. I slightly regret it, but some of my friends weren't going (anymore or on that day) and i could only go on Sunday at the latest. (But I heard that it was mediocre at best so I'm not feeling to bad)

Mk, i kinda want to watch it. But I'm definitely not up for gore...

Well I don't really play on the Ps3 all that much, but it's a shared item so it still gets use. I Wish I could play, really. It's just it's easier to draw with my free time, cuz if I play I get addicted and when my free time is up; I know I'll keep playing the game even if I have work to do. So it's better not to open the can of worms...

Ps2, cool. I'll go try to find the game at gamestop, hopefully they have it in the used section.

I used to play softball, back in highschool. I don't do intermurals or anything at Uconn now. Lol, you know you don't have to use your own hair. For cosplay, practically everyone uses wigs to get the exact hair color and style, plus it holds better and you don't have to spend the day of, fixing your hair for hours. I don't know how tall you are so I suppose that's your call. =} I can try brainstorming other characters. And thank you, though I'm pretty picky with my character choices. And it's hard if no one wants to cosplay with me.

Damn, that sucks. It's always better to book tickets in advance for ctcon. But I guess it's a good thing you didn't since you had other plans. Oh well. Always next year. And wow you are really super busy lol.

Well there isn't much gore other than a few decapitations and a person with a rare skin disease. But you definitely get that horror movie vibe from it. But I guessing... that you aren't into that genre that much huh? What do you usually watch though?

Yeah you are right. It's better to be at least constructive with your time if you aren't going to be productive. But sometimes its good to indulge a little bit if you haven't played in a long time.

Hopefully they have it. But if anything, you could borrow it from me since the Shin Megami Tensei games are usually rare. But I bet they'll have it since it's really popular due to Giantbomb's endurance run.

That's cool. I'm guessing you are really busy for intermurals. I would love to play intermurals myself, but I got my hands full with karate. I think I would be super funny with a fro but I guess you're right since it would be better trying not to manage your hair a lot during the event. And I'm pretty much short as most Cambodians. My height is around 5' 7" i think. And As you can see I'm also a bit picky when it comes to cosplaying. But maybe I shouldn't since I have a limited number of characters to dress as. I think I wanna dress up as this guy from Bakemonogatari but I'm thinking I may be too dark for him.

Yeah it sucks if no one wants to cosplay, but I would definitely round up some friends and totally devise a plan for which ever -con you decide to go to. If I had the time, I would definitely cosplay with ya.

Yeah. Well it was only that week. Actually my time is pretty lax now. thank goodness. I've managed to get back to art again, and atm am working on another vector piece.

I don't mind gore and violence, i just don't like the saw vibe. I can stand horror and i can stand gore, but I can't stand Horror gore. It's just really gross and wrong, but I suppose that's the point. I like scary movies, anime, uhh comedy, cartoons. I really like children's movies. Lol. (but that's because I'm a kid at heart) I'm really attracted to the scary movies even though I know I get totally freaked out during it and no one wants to watch them with me. =<

I've been wanting to play FFVIII for the past couple days since we've been talking about it, but I only got my first day of free time today. I might play persona instead if I can find it, and thanks for the offer. If I get free time tomorrow I'll see if I can find it at any of the game stops. It's been a while since I bought a PS2 game. Lol.

Yeah, I barely get to go to the gym as is! =,{ Karate! Super Cool. You a black belt? I've always wanted to do some form of martial arts or fighting ever since I was little but my mother refused me saying its for boys. Sigh, she barely let me do softball, she wanted me to do girl sports like volley ball or figure skating. I hated figure skating. I think she's the reason I lack any competitive nature. Lol.

You think your height is 5' 7"? Lol. When's the last time you measured? Yeah, I hear ya. I'm pretty short too, but I don't mind it at all. I like being my height. Well you can be picky I guess, its your choice to do whatever you want. and yeah... he looks a little light and you're probably darker than he is. =/

I think I got my sister to cosplay with me. We're pretty picky too. We were thinking of doing old school anime like Rourouni Kenshin and the like. If you guys do, we could have a big awesome group but that's if we manage to agree on something...

Awesome can't wait to see it. LIke I said you are pretty good at all kinds of art. Very flexible

I totally agree about the horror gore genre. I just watched Saw VI and I felt so sick afterwards because of the gore. I like psychological horror movies, but they usually give me nightmares afterwards. Cartoons and anime are cool. Movies like Despicable Me, Toy Story, and other pixar movies are great too. I'm also a kid at heart too because my childhood ended too soon. But I love watching those kinds of movies because it makes me feel like a child again.

No problem! Either or is fine imo. And same with me. I just got into playing Metal Gear Solid 3 and its so badass. I also bought the Final Fantasy Anthology with FFVI and FFV. I'm so happy I got it.

I also can't go to the gym too. But yeah Karate fills up my time and builds up my cardio. I wish I was a black belt, but I'm a orange belt I think? I forgot. Our dojo does the belt rankings so weird compared to other places. That sucks that your mom doesn't want to do any manly sports. But Softball seems fun. You should just join under her nose. ;D Competitive nature? I think that's a good trait to lack. Simply because you'll get worked up over losing. It's better to just play for fun you know?

My license says 5' 7" lol. I think i'm 5'6" though. But it doesn't matter too much. Well my original skin color is pretty light so maybe I could pull it off in a different convention than ctcon. Hmm, I could talk to my friends about it. Dunno who can pull off who though lol. Out of friends who like anime, they like their manly animes like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Fist of the North Star and Gundam. So we'll see after I talk to them.
