Pixellover maybe it's about time you start to ween yourself off faving things. As much as I'm on your side on this issue, telling people to stop thanking you is like telling people to stop throwing recyclables in the trash, or telling truck drivers to stop going slow in front of you when you're on the superhighway at 65 mph and then suddenly speeding up at 70 themselves when you try to pass them while some other jerk in his Mustang going 90 suddenly starts riding your rear this [] close behind you making you go faster than you wanted to just to pass the stupid schmuck who can clearly see you from his mirror UGH. /vent
Maybe you could try downloading these deviations into a folder on your desktop? No one thanks people for that, it is 100% anonymous as far as I can tell. Best of all, you can look at them all you want and no one will ever bother you with that pesky generic gratitude. It's essentially the same thing, only you might be doing dA a favor by saving them potential bandwidth! Everyone wins sort of?
Alternatively, you could try to just fave from people who are either super popular or don't use dA anymore, since at least the former won't have the time to thank you, being too busy either being praised or getting yelled at by people to update their comics or whatever.
I'm only trying to help you, Pixellover, for I hate to see you so worked up over these things! It's not healthy! You should invest your time in a zen garden or some yoga or something to ease your mind. Prodding a stamp will do you no good I'm afraid!
