About Us

Pixie Acres is located on 670 acres of land bordering the Mississippi River by Little Falls, Minnesota. Specializing in Danish Warmbloods, Gypsy Scanners, and Thoroughbreds, the stable has been family run since 1930. In November of 2009, eastern equine encephalitis swept through the facility killing a majority of the 180 horses that were currently residing there. The horses that did not die had to be put down because of the virus. Only those survived who were showing out of state. In February of 2010 we started re-building. We added a new showing arena and built dorms for possible camps or boarding school opportunities in the future. Currently, Pixie Acres is owned by Connie Kindell, a 25 year old mother of 2 and wife of Jim. She has a PhD in Horsemanship and is currently training to become a vet.
