Do you think Poke! Ai would have the deep gash like her normal self does? I'm beginning to think that maybe that would be a neat little plot point, but as a Trainer, it would be bad to go out in the wild with a nearly useless leg.

It all depends. Does she start off with the gash before becoming a trainer? If so she would need to find a way to compensate for the bad leg, maybe a leg brace or cane and walk around like Dr House does, in almost constant pain.Though I don't think she's the type to constantly pop pain pills. (Depending if her gash would hurt her all the time. We know it doesn't do well with strenuous exercise/fighting or long walking) Depending on her pokemon, they could help her get around too. Ai would have to be real careful and don't get too reckless. Of course if she started out with the gash on her leg she would be more used to maneuvering around with her leg as she got older than if she got the gash more recently, which would mean she would still be learning to move through the wilderness on the bad leg. She may just stick to the edged of the paved roads and minimal grassy areas, since forests have lots of undergrowth to trip over and mountains are rocky.

From the RP we've been doing, it seems like Ai is very reckless, very self-sufficient, and despite her weakness, she seems to not want to seem like she can't do as much as others. I feel like the gash does hurt quite a bit, but I don't know where she would have got it from in that universe. It might be relatively recent, if it still hurts, especially if it's as big as I keep making it out to be. And yes, I don't think she's quite got the hang out of staying out of the undergrowth-y areas and probably trips a lot.

So to be honest her philosophy is f*** it, I do what I want, I got no strings to hold me down, nothing going to stop me from getting to my goal, not even a bum leg.
