And thank you for the wonderful Mystarian resources that you have provided to me, and my campaign, over the years.  In point of fact, I should have added you to my Watch list far sooner than what I have as you are the number one resource for all of my Mystarian cartographic needs.

Your work, in this incredibly specific area of roleplaying hobbydom, has been much appreciated and it's kind of amazing to find someone as focused on this as you have been.

Thanks once again.

Oh wow. You don't know how much this does for me. I longed zo much for some recognition, yet although viewed or downloaded a lot, almost nobody reflects their opinions on my work.
I do a lot more, see all my writings in my Blog  (the story will soon continue) or all my posts on Pandius

Have fun
that Is what I like to bring.

I hope you''l like the upcoming Maps of Karameikos and later I return to Ethengar again to finish that. and who knows what more the future will bring (The 5hires, in detail, ??   a map of Ylaruam --with all Nithan ruins, temples and lost otherr things?, or Rockhome with the clear geological changes it has undergone, or Quedhar- The island with lots of weird magic happening, or....??? there is soo much more coming

Well, now I feel guilty.  I definitely should've dropped you a note (perhaps several) telling you how much your work has been appreciated by not just me but by the entire gaming community, as well, over the years (I'm quite certain about this).  It is both wonderful -- as a visual spectacle of those imaginary places -- and useful (and not many works of art can boast that claim, just so you know).

I definitely will be looking forward to what you have in store in the near future -- right now, I have a split campaign; one taking place in Glantri and the other taking place in Karameikos (so you know I'll definitely be tuning in for that one) but, like most fantasy worlds, there is a lot of travel between here and there and, even the places I haven't mentioned (like Rockhome and Ylaruam), have gotten an occasional visit and your maps make that journey all the more enjoyable.

You definitely deserve more credit and notice but, just be aware, that there are people out there that greatly enjoy the work you do on this material and, as I have said, find them useful and amazing in their own right.

Best of wishes on your continued journey, Mistress Map-Maker; I was uncertain before, but now have little doubt, that your skills are definitely born of magic (considering the difficulty of creating your treasures with those wicked talons of yours!)

Be well and safe in your travels either in this world, or in any other, but especially Mystara.  We need your maps, after all!

Oh..wauw
I..I am totally flabbergahsted (is that what you call it?)
your words give me energy, to continue to create.

You don't have to feel guilty. almost nobody reacts nor reflects on my work, some do on Piazza, but even there it remains mostly to a few or incidentalreactions
So I cherish your words truly

Real Life isn't that friendly to me
and i live and do everything fully alone already for over 20 years
My pain and sorrows i try to use to do something good with generally, to help others. .
and my writings, maps, and other art is one of these things I myself feel awkwardly content with

The creation of the Canolbarth Forest of Alfheim   was soo intense, that it was there for the first time i felt with all my senses as if I had entered that map as if it was reality.
With my increased skills this went even deeper, and sometimes, it astonishes me what i do see there on the various maps. i have sensed the forect, i have smells the Ethengar Huts, I saw kobolds passing me by in the Broken Lands, and this map of Karameikos i hear the people there talk in a language I do not understand, yet I know what they say.

It is a pity not more people say these words to me. I don't have facebook or such things, but I do understand the need of Likes and such.
it gives me the feeling that i do it for someone, that it is welcomed and needed
That You and apparently other recognize some of my experience i described above in these maps, is something I truly enjoy.
That others can try to enter that world in even more detail would fill me with static
That a DM can tell the player in detail how a region looks, feels, sounds, smells tastes or even affects  and can continue to do so every mile again.

I don't know if you know The Piazza , where Mystara fans worldwide combine, and together add to this living world of old BECMI D&D, (and here and there newer versions, yet still).
I have there a post where I speak on my mapping and other thing discovered/created on the path of the map.
I welcome you to read, and even become a member and respond to things you see there. and maybe add some of your own.

As to Glantri. I think You will Like This interactive ;  pandius.com/gsomdtl.html with lots of new onformation, magic items, and spells and the secret crafts expanded, clarified a lot on the radiance and a full campaing with ominous secrets of the future
Others you probably will like these compilation books  pandius.com/diseases_and_heali…,  pandius.com/Immortals_of_Mysta…  pandius.com/pages_of_virtue.pd…  pandius.com/mnstrmnl.html
Or this little adventure  pandius.com/rltlones.html
All these are either my creation or a compilation by me of variant sources, or both.

as to Karameikos, keep your Eyes open, i work daily on this now, and it looks already very nice now, even  if unfinished.
This week another small Island Group will be revealed. The Shirefang Rocks in the Karameikan Gulf of Halag, which is similar to my other small island maps you'll find here in 100 yard hexes.

I will continue, My plan is to make the Whole Known World of Mystara (not the whole planet, but still a vast area) into 1 mile hex maps
My talons (lol) do not hinder,  my mind sometimes does. being an addict at gathering knowledge (the healthiest addiction existing) and also the nasty parts of real life combined sometimes stalls me. but i will always try to grasp my self together and continue.

I will try to stay safe. but I am a bit careful in the Boken Lands, I was as if a Kobold Wokan sensed my presence the last time i was here.

Sorry for this long mass of text. I just had to reflect
Thanx
Robin

First of all, you don't have to apologize for writing a "long mass  of text". In fact, it should be me, apologizing to you, for the extra amount of time that it has taken me to get back to you.  Unfortunately, like you, I had some decidedly, unfriendly, real life concerns of my own to attend to as well as some other, unexpected, randomness --  that tends to occur in this very unregulated life that of mine -- that can, and has, played havoc with my response times.  Again, many apologies in regards to that.

At any rate, to belatedly answer those questions that you had put to me:

Yes, I know of the Piazza and the Vaults of Pandius, both of which are "goto sites" for me for all of my Mystarian-needed resources -- although, because our campaign takes place in the year 1000 AD or so, a lot of the newer, more up-to-date, information on either site has to be retro-fitted -- or ignored altogether -- when trying to fit them into our various gaming storylines).   I think the last time I was at either of those sites -- and which lead me into getting directly into contact with you -- was to try to find more detailed information on the Silver Tower Inn and, well, you know the rest of the story, I suppose.  That being said, I will now definitely look for your other posts and read them when I get the chance (see above as to the possible reasons as to why this may be delayed a little bit, however).

(Incidentally, I should warn you that, at the time of this writing, when I attempted to visit either The Piazza or VoP, through the links that you have provided, I was stopped due to a potential security risk as detected by Malwarebyes.  It's not a big deal or anything but I thought, for the  safety of your computer, I should warn you, just in case).

Speaking of this current post of yours, however, let me just say, that your newest project, on the Canolbarth Forest of Alfheim, is simply amazing in both in terms of its size and attention to detail.  In fact, I really wish I had had access to this map, last year or so, when one of the characters had some of his initial adventures there.  Having your stuff at the time, would've added so much extra to the adventure.  By the way, that  one hex = one  mile sounds both amazing and crazy, all at the same time!  It almost sounds like a cruel, and unusual, form of punishment, if I'm being totally honest.

You know, while still on the subject, it's also funny that you mentioned doing some new "island work" as one of the new story ideas in our campaign takes place on one of islands of the southern seas.  It is little more more than a vague kind of idea, or hint of place, at this point, and needs to find a more "tangible" port of call.  While the Gulf of Halag sounds like it may be situated a bit too far north for said islands, I think that I'll now have to take a trawl through the rest of your maps now as I'm almost certain I'll find what I need...)

Finally, in closing, while I'm happy that you find my words so invigorating -- and, believe me, I can understand how little things like that are needed sometimes (despite the personal enjoyment you find in the work) to provide that little bit of extra encouragement as fuel to continue to create -- I'm also sorry to hear that joy tempered by your own, real life, hardships.  I've had my fair share of those too, over the years, and know how scarring some of those can truly be.  If you'd like to talk about it -- or just vent -- let me know.  I'm sure I'd definitely be able to relate or, at the very least, provide a Sounding Board of some kind for you.

Once again, I am very sorry about the very belated reply on my end of things.  I can't say that it won't happen again as, in addition to certain complications caused by the Coronavirus, I've also have had a number of other real life issues that I've had to deal with, lately, as well.  I will always try to reply, however, if you can bear the sometimes unavoidable wait/load times, that is.

Anyways, be well, as always, in this world and in the other, and, once again, please forgive me for the latest of my reply.

Wow and then I thought I mad long texts...lol

That they say it may contain malware is maybe because by using bthe link as given here in Deviantart (with al its commercial personalized adds) combined with that these are not HTTPS but HTTP mmakes them Hazourdous to your defensive programms. If you copy paste the  link this normally does not occur. no malware exists on either of the links given to you as dar as I know/ am used to or control myself.

The Canolbarth is already from 3 years ago, I currently work on Karameikos in 1 mile hexes.
Here on my blog you see all maps I made in a more ordened fashion then here on Deviantart
breathofmystara.blogspot.com/2…

As to the future mapping ...when karameikos is finished, I will continue on Ethengar, then I will do the Isle of Dread.
This following map is till now the only small island of the Ierendi Islands (not even listed on the main map as it is really small. It is part of an adventure from Dungeon Magazine as the text explains.

Maybe it is best to keep this personal communication hidden from view to others. or use notes instead. You can also always PM me on Piazza

I might have lots to say, yet am careful in this doing open.
I have had my share of bad (worse, far worse) responses or trolls.

Stay safe indeed
We will speak again
