What is Eddas? I took a Myths & Fairytales class in college and we read The Norse Myths by Kevin Crossley Holland. I've never read them before that but I fell in love with them.

Oh, sorry, I got overly excited and forgot to tell what I was telling about.
Edda is the name given for collected medieval nordic myths and a man named Snorri Sturlusson composed it in the 13th century as a complete introduction to the old mythology for a king called Gylfi. The prose edition of Edda is therefore sometimes called Snorri's Edda. Or the Younger Edda, because then there's the poetic version of Edda which is older and has no author, but consists instead of multiple stories (lone manuscripts that have been found) written in the form of viking poems. There's both those regarding the gods and those that tell the tales of great mythical heroes. The poems about the gods are great because they are completely ridiculous but the hero stories are a bit more serious.

That sounds really cool!! I want to read more into Norse myth because I just fell in love with it when I was taking the class. I fell in love with Loki from the Avenger movies (and because Tom Hiddleston is a BABE) but even the original Norse Loki is hilarious. Of course Thor is pretty great, too. Those stories were hilarious.

I've always loved all sorts of northern myths from Celtic stories to Finnish Kalevala-poems, so naturally I've read my fair share of Viking mythology too. (But yeah, the recent Loki mania I have is all Hiddleston's fault even though after rereading and learning the myths Loki is a really interesting and important and great character in them too.)
I really recommend that you go raid some libraries to see if you can find any version of the Edda.

I've never read any other myths other than Norse! I mean in my class we read some creation myths from around the world and we read The Epic of Gilgamesh, which is from Mesopotamia, but otherwise we focused on Norse myth. I love Loki! I think he is such an interesting character! I will definitely have to look for the Edda! That sounds super cool.

I found Gilgamesh in my local library but didn't have the energy to start that just yet. I'll probably have to, some day. And to be honest my knowledge of ancient greek and roman mythology is practically nonexistent. :'D
