Minimalisric makes it sound like there is little effort put into my drawings. I do not add color, true, but I put great care and time into the detail of them. These are by no means done quickly.

Minimalistic definitely doesn't mean less effort.

Like writing, it's more challenging to be succinct and powerful than to just keep running off at the mouth.

Your "minimalist" work is incredibly detailed and suggestive.

I don't know, people like different things tbh

I have had 4 different elementalists (my first one was sylvari, I didn't like being a flower in a regular dress so I made a charr for a flamey tail, and then I made a human main. then I quit, came back, and made a new human ele to start fresh) and I've always loved the same things: Staff, changing attunements and dps.

I enjoy wvw, so I wear soldiers gear with divinity runes.
For my staff and ascessory I put beserker for a little more crit and dps.

On my old ele I was pure PTV on everything with 20 points in water.
Problem was, I missed damage.
Now, I have no points in water (only thing I miss is the cleanse when changing into water)
And I only die in wvw when I'm being stupid and have misplaced myself somewhere in the zerg.
Aka, I'm often the one who does not die and have to port back to spawn to meet up with the rest of the zerg because they all died.

I hated the summoning weapons, but being forced to run the greatsword elite, and the frostbow in dungeon I've started to enjoy the dps.

But I do a few things other people don't..
In PvE i often run arcane wave, so I can blast my own fields. REALLY was a saver in the nightmare tower, me and one mesmer would solo kill all our way to the top while every moron just ran up and died over and over again. And I'd just change to water, put waterfield, blast it for healing and we were always fine.

I also love arcane shield, way more than mist form or armor of earth.
Arcane shield breaks stuns and blocks 3 attacks. The amount of times it has saved my ass is countless.
I also often pop it when I'm casting a meteor shower on the entire enemy zerg. I pop it so they can't interupt me, tho I often get downed after I've casted the entire thing. then I mistform away, and get rallied pretty quickly because I've hit every single person in the enemy zerg.

I'm babbling! Play your ele, try different things, you have your own playstyle so make something that works for you. Aslong as you have frostbow for AC and flame greatsword for the super dungeoners nobody will notice or complain a thing.
I always ask my guildmembers what gear they have and what builds they're running and everything is different.
Once december 10 comes, those builds will become even more erratic because you're nolonger forced to have 20 points into arcana (for larger aoe fields on staff and shorter attunement recharge)

Since the comment I THOUGHT I made the other day didn't seem to go through, I play a U/G Ludevic's Abomination deck when I play Standard, which isn't often, I don't really play any Legacy or Modern, just because no one plays earlier than maybe Zendikar anywhere near where I live (which makes me sad), but I play a lot of casual EDH, and for that I run a R/B Wort, Boggart Auntie. Tribal goblins all day erry day.

So you run allot of kill spells and Goblin Grenade in your R/B then? Ya I tend to like Standard (were I run a fun R/U Burning Vengeance) but I have been putting together a new deck for Modern since the Tournaments have more to win (Solid Green Agro Primalcrux Deck) Sorry for taking so long to respond, I didn't know the magic lingo so I was embarrassed but now I am more acquainted so HERE I AM!
