The green rabbit started to fly around her head, panicking. "No, no, no! You must not! It's dangerous up there," he said.

"I've been more dangerous places than an attic," Mel sighed exasperatedly, still trying to go up.

A unicorn appeared beside them. "Hey," it said with a prepuberty sounding voice. "What are you doing?"

"Lock picking," Mel muttered. She smirked as the door swung open.

The dark room was filled with boxes and dust, and had an old mirror standing in the middle.

There was no reply from the clouded mirror.

She frowned a bit and cocked her head in slight confusion.

The unicorn and the mint rabbit sighed in unison. Looks like the girl is determined.

"What are you doing here?" it asked in a hushed whisper. "Don't you know how dangerous it is here?"

"Can't be more dangerous than hell," Mel replied lightly.

The unicorn stared at the red eyed creature. "Allen, is that you?"
A man wearing sunglasses stepped out. "Hello, Buttercup. Yes, it is," he said. Allen turned to Mel. "You must be the person Oliver keeps on yapping about," he said, a slight irritation in his voice.

Mel frowned and cocked her head. This person reminded her of the one that had tortured her so badly. "Probably." She shrugged, glad she had her knife hidden in her sleeve.

"Are you related to Alfred F. Jones in any way?" she asked warily.

He shook his head and scowled. "He's a disgusting no-brainer. Why would I be related to him?"

Mel relaxed but only slightly. "You look kind of like him."

Allen was about to protest when a maniacal laughter was heard all throughout the room. He groaned. "Looks like he's home," he muttered.

"Oh, Allen," it cooed. "Look what I've got!"
Frowning, the American looked towards the source of the sound. "We have a person over," he said.

"Mel? Is that you, darling?" the voice asked. "Dear me! I was not prepared for this. Let me just wash up," he called out.
