Very intriguing philosophy, I'm rather interested in the dialogue more-so than the visual itself. Although to be honest your artwork is quite impressive.
Kudos to you.

I was surprised I hadn't discovered your artwork on an earlier date, as it's quite astounding in quality.
To put it simply I'm impressed by your work, especially when compared to that of some others.
Please do continue to produce works of this highly refined quality.

Still liking the style. Have you finished the orks by the way?

BullittBlank In reply to ProfessorBrown [2009-12-10 21:30:54 +0000 UTC]
Not yet, unfortunately. I've started and discarded three different versions so far... nothing seems to work as much or as well as the original.

Take your time, look at a couple of clips with orks, and ork related pictures you'll get it in time.

Out of curiosity would you ever consider making battle sequences?

grampsart In reply to ProfessorBrown [2010-01-15 09:39:22 +0000 UTC]
Battle sequences? What do you mean?

ProfessorBrown In reply to grampsart [2010-01-19 20:56:40 +0000 UTC]
If you were to take say the lich king and then pit him against several dozen paladins, create the drawing to show what's occurring at a middle point in the battle.
These usually involve quite a bit of visual physics.
Moment, weight of the weapon, arc of the sword strokes etc.

Sound like you haven't picked up on the fact that I'm a colourist and that my actual drawing skills are shit.
I would love to do something like that but I doubt my skill will ever reach that level of complexity.

ProfessorBrown In reply to grampsart [2010-01-26 21:56:10 +0000 UTC]
Well then if I were to make such a scene would you color it? Explosions, blood and trigger-happy smilies included?
I've had an idea for a warhammer 40000 smiley war but am significantly lacking in capability when I attempt to color it.
*realizes that not everyone's heard of 40k*
Do you know what 40k is?

grampsart In reply to ProfessorBrown [2010-02-03 14:26:55 +0000 UTC]
No, I don't have the time to take requests these days, so I probably wouldn't colour it.
And yes, I know what 40K is.

There's something about the perspective which makes me love this picture. Albeit there is a lack of color, but overall the mood is intriguing.

It's loltastic, and the Eraser pieces make it all the more awesome.
I think the pilot should have angry eyebrows though, make him look really hyped about being in a robot.

It's a great picture, especially since it humanizes the soldiers and shows they're regular people too.
You must get more!
