You'd create a Vertex group ( Object Properties > Data (Triangle) > Vertex Groups > [+] ).


The first way: Shift into Weight Paint mode (Ctrl Tab) and, well, paint. The redder, the more the vertices move along with the bone.


A second one (better when dealing with things made of discrete parts, like a gun's components...): Shift into Edit Mode (Tab), select the vertices that should move along and click Assign.


When you're done, rename the vertex group you made with the bone's name.


Repeat until all bones are painted.

Here's the file source. I tried to convert it to mesh.ascii in Blender then input XNA-readable mesh info in notepad but it wasn't successful.

Have you tried reapplying the textures and renaming according to render groups? You know, XNALara has pretty strict naming conventions, and Blender doesn't care about them (and is barely able to import FBXes from Pack3d).

I'd recommend you to check out Noesis . It's a model processing tool specifically made for converting between game engine formats which has XNA XPS plugins . It converts correctly from that FBX to .mesh.ascii. (with the exception of some bone parenting and positioning, but that you can fix in Blender)

I've tried to convert with Blender first and Noesis later, but only Noesis converted to mesh.ascii properly. Afterwards I've tried renaming the meshes so that XNALara can "see" them, but nope, no luck. There are two meshes in the model I think.

Forgot to mention, the model is hyper small and you need to scale it.

(And the legs bones are mispositioned)

Heyo there. Happy New year. I've been trying to port two weapons over and thoseΒ  weapons in question are these two:
