Alright I'll bite, if you are willing to have a reasonable discussion like an adult and not get ugly...
Most everything I use I have downloaded in packs from this site or other forums, I read the description to see whether they are free to use or not. If not I move on, if so I always favorite or comment in appreciation, because yes I do realize that it takes time to make them.
The render in question came in a render pack, I thought nothing of it I'll be honest. I did not know who the original owner of it was until someone said something in the comments and gave me a link. I immediately sent a note to the artist and asked permission to use it. And then thanked the person who had politely (key word here) informed me who it belonged to.
Yes I did block the person who commented after that. She was rather rude. Had she managed to say something without being pissy I imagine I'd be having this discussion with her instead.

Seems like you never know who the original artist is, or else you'd credit them. You're putting someone else's art on this site as your own. That's stealing, no question.
Here's what this site has written about it in the FAQ area of their website:
- It doesn't matter how you obtained the material, it's still considered copyrighted and you still need permission.
- It doesn't matter whether or not you've credited the proper owner, it's still considered copyrighted and you still need permission.
- It doesn't matter if you are not selling it or making a profit, it's still considered copyrighted and you still need permission.
- It doesn't matter if you can find other people using things without permission, it's still considered copyrighted and you still need permission.
- It doesn't matter if you've edited it a little bit or made a few alterations, if it's recognizable it's still considered copyrighted and you still need permission.

You are right, after downloading hundreds of resources be it brushes, fonts, effects, C4Ds, renders not only from this site but many others, it does make it difficult to keep track of the original owners. So the artist isn't getting as much credit as they should, even though I do thank/favorite them in advance. When they say in their description that it is "free to use as long as you comment or favorite or credit", is that not permission?
That render was a mistake, when I found out that it wasn't his/hers but someone else's work I tried to make amends by sending a letter of apology and asked for permission. I removed the piece from my gallery and yet I am still being accused of stealing and getting snippy remarks from others, not even from the artist herself but her fans. What more would you have me do?
