Your TF2 Scout cosplay is amazing. So cool man. And that prop is very well made, great job!

Okay this is gonna sound really weirdΒ but are you Edre123 on Steam? (if you're not, then I'mΒ sorry for asking and I guess I just sound really dumb).Β I was just looking for Scout reference pictures and I saw your icon --which is the same as that guy's on the LotusClan servers in TF2, who killed me quite a lot the few times we've been on it at the same time.
Β
Then again, sorry for this weird ask, it's just that I saw your icon and had to ask because Team Fortress. Also this scout cosplay is awesome

No, my Steam username is The Kareem of Wheat. My real name is Dre, so that's quite a coincidence.

omgomgomgomgomg you like Duran Duran and other 80s music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND you cosplayed as one hell of a Godot! You, sir, have found yourself a fangirl. Oh and may I ask you to tell me the process of how you made that epic visor?

Sweet! I have a fangirl!
To make my visor, I got a pattern from another Godot cosplayer, cut it out of craft foam, covered the foam in epoxy and let it harden. Then I added the metal mesh to better hid my eyes, and those are held in place with magnets so that I can remove them if I need to. Finally I got some foam rubber padding for the inside and epoxied elastic so that I can wear it comfortable.
If there's anything you like to know in more detail, feel free ot let me know.

Thanks! what about the red lenses? did you use cellophane, auto glass tint, etc, how did you make that? or did you just stick with the metal mesh?

that was cellophane, yes. I've also heard you can use one of those football helmet visors, but really you should have to spend that much when you can go to Walmart and buy a cellphone folder for less than a dollar and cut it down to size.

All this time (I've made at least three visors already using different methods) but all this time, i've been using Ziplock bags colored with Sharpie talk about a budget!
