Wow, thanks so much for the kind words and the watch. My account was pretty inactive for most of the 5 years I've been signed up, only in the last couple months have I been posting my newer drawings..so yeah, expect more!

Ah yeah I saw that, i'm not usually a massive fan of tribal tattoos, except aztec and other of the more ancient tribal designs. But have to admit I do like how it sits on the body, like around his head and shoulders, much better than just the arm in my opinion. Let's see...$1200 is £760 ish and $2500 is £1580 ish..yeah tbh that sounds about right, it's hard to say because it all depends on who you go to, obviously there's a hell of a lot of black and some artists are much better at filling in black than others (some are patchy..very very patchy) it all depends on the experience of the artist and their rep. I guess that kind of answers the question haha.

Faces and hands are my favourite thing to draw..they're so interesting, with all the wrinkles and joints and stuff and I like mechanical pencils partly because i'm lazy and don't like sharpening haha..but yeah, I don't use any other kind of pencil. I'm going to have a crack at colour portraiture soon, I'm not very good so I need to practice.

The superman returns I have posted was actually the 2nd one, the 1st one I did in color and it was to my surprise bad ass. It got ripped through superman's face on accident while I was putting shadow on it and that was it, I ripped it up and did it in pencil instead of color almost finished the colored one too. I still want to color it but I'll just stick to what I know for now cause I need more knowledge of color anyway. Flesh tones and facial shadows in color are hard to grasp! Can't wait to see your first shop tattoo though. I'd be afraid to mess up on the customer.

Daaang, that sucks! I'd have kept it anyway! You're right flesh tones are difficult..I can't really get my head around how to go about doing it. I'm much better at watercolour portraits than pencil, but even then if I started doing an awesome watercolour piece, and then have a break, when I get back to it I can't for the life of me get the same colour again, so i'm scared to take a break, hah. Ahh it'll be a long way yet before i'm tattooing, the apprenticeship doesn't start until I get back from my holiday in April and then I have to get trained, i'd probably tattoo myself before anyone else!

Have you ever used PRISMA COLORS? They are the best to use for coloring anything from Disney to real life. PRISMA colors have a collection of markers, pencils, and oil pastels and you can use use them individually or all together in one piece. They work together because they are all oil based. Just to let you know. Sounds like a commercial right? It's not, just a statement and FYI.

I haven't, no. You're not the first person to mention them though..i'll look into them, they must be good..that or you're all prisma employees and are working on commision. Atm I have these watercolour pencils which, to my suprise are actually working ok..I got them years ago for school and never really used them
