There are quite a few sites out there for photographers and models to network. Look for models that are waning to build their port as you are and are willing to do TFP/CD. Work with then and hone your skills. I also recommend taking as many workshops as you can afford. Try to find photographers that you like their style and find their workshops if they have them. Most importantly is to shoot. I shot all the time. I was shooting motocross riders, an angry ocean and a homicide scene over the weekend. Remember you need to have the camera but you also need to push the shutter. Learn to tell a story with the lens, Nat Geo photogogs shoot about 1000 frames per story also start to study pictures of the style you lke try and figure out how they were lit, the model pose and the angle of the lens, and if you in my neck of the woods take my upcomming workshop on sooting erotica and lighting with David Lawerence

Well you can try modelmayhem.com, onemodelplace.com, paidmodels.com for starters. I shoot Nikon but if I was starting from 0, I would go with the new Canon for shooting glamor, fashion, nudes erotic. I think the camera just gives better skin tones than the Nikon and saves time in post. Well I do this for a living so we pay models for commercial work. I do a very limited TFP and I do portfolio work and the models pay me.
