Nah, they're not based off real people (of course they should be human and no like, elf ears, but you're welcome to make up the character design, even name them and give personalities and stuff for the dialogue on the site).Β They can be any age/sex/appearance, although show secretaries should be 25 years + since I've never seen a younger one.
