Thank you~! I really appreciate it. Digital art is a lot of fun - all you need is a graphics tablet, some good software, and a lot of patience~
Don't worry, I will~!

Thing for you to do:
Join Group(S) that are about Pokemon.'
You'll find friends, commissioners and get views as well as massive feedback in return!
But don't expect too much from the Groups on DeviantArt...
Most Groups will love to have your works in their gallery!
Sometimes their folder are full, find one that isn't ! XDDDD
It's a pain, but its worth it !
Great works, keep it up RaidShell ! ;D

Thank you~! Joining a group or two has been on my to-do list for a while now. I planned to do it when I'm able to draw again (I've had eye strain related headaches for nearly two weeks that have prevented me from using anything with a large screen). I really appreciate the advice~

hey I have a tablet now, but I need a little help from you figuring out how to configure sai to be friendly to it~

RacheLucario In reply to Sonnitude [2013-12-11 04:25:22 +0000 UTC]
Congrats~
Sai should work just fine with it - just make sure you install the tablet properly using the proper drivers that came with it or you won't get any pressure sensitivity. I recommend playing around with the stabilizer (up the top) a bit. It allows you to create really smooth lines with a graphics tablet, but takes a bit of time to get used to. I usually use S-1 for sketching and S-4 for lineart, but that might be a bit too much for some people.
If your tablet has buttons on the side, I recommend setting one to ctrl+z (undo), another to ctrl+y (redo) - they're convenient to have.

Mainly my curve tool isn't behaving the way I want, I'm having to keep tapping instead of being able to drag and make smooth lines

RacheLucario In reply to Sonnitude [2013-12-11 04:31:49 +0000 UTC]
That's normal. When you hold the pen to the tablet it registers as holding down the left click. Now that you have a tablet though, the curve tool has become unnecessary. Why not try out the pen with the stabilizer set high? You'll be able to draw lines like mine easily and they'll look nice and crisp.

Ah guess I wasent aware of this think you could stream and give me some "getting started with tablets" kinda spheal?

RacheLucario In reply to Sonnitude [2013-12-11 04:39:26 +0000 UTC]
I would, but lately eye strain (and the headaches it causes) has prevented me from doing much of anything. Either way, unless your tablet is the same as mine the settings and menus will be completely different so it probably wouldn't help much.
I recommend just playing around with it a bit. I completely learned how to use mine within an hour.

What about drawing diapers on characters? I cant seem to draw any type of clothing on my characters well. Maybe you could help with that?

RacheLucario In reply to Sonnitude [2013-11-18 23:19:31 +0000 UTC]
I've never drawn a diaper and clothing isn't really my specialty. To get better at it though, try to take notice of how clothing folds and creases as the wearer moves. To make it look natural, you have to reference it - at least until you really, really get the hang of it. Also remember that unless the clothing is super tight, it won't stay in the same shape as the wearer's body - rather, it will appear loose, stick out a bit, have visible folds and creases, and be subject to gravity. For drawing diapers, I guess just look up some pictures or videos of babies and reference those.

Hey, I would like some lessons on anthro stuff if you can. Its something that I wanted to try but didnt know how to approach it.

RacheLucario In reply to Sonnitude [2013-11-18 18:33:35 +0000 UTC]
I'm not really familiar with it, so I'm likely not the best teacher. I guess I recommend looking at some anthro artwork and trying to see what the artists do and perhaps asking them for some tips.

Yay~!
Thank you~ Your advice has really helped me a lot. Without it, my art would be much more flawed and just look meh. I just hope I'm not overusing the ambient lighting, since I use it pretty much everywhere.

I only taught you it's existence, you can improve it yoursel furtheron by taking a look how other people use and Manipulate it !
And its amazing to seé how similar your works look to the style i used to draw in back then before i got into painting !
Especially now that i changed styles~
Also i seé that all the time i spend telling you wasn't for nothing~

I'll definitely do that. Learning from looking usually works well~
I've been noticing it a bit myself, although I'm nowhere near as good as you are yet~ Although not intentional, I can't say I'm upset about it because I honestly adore your art.
I'm glad you think so~ Perhaps sometime in the future we can work together on something?

Jeez that sonnitude guy, he's just spamfucking your comment box isn't he?
I don't like him but my god why does he keep spamming your comment box?

It's not really spamming as it's not a daily thing. I guess it just looks that way because nobody else comments. (I do only have 5 watchers after all.)
I appreciate your concern, but it's okay.
