My Christmas is going swimmingly with classical music and alternate Christmas movies like DKR and thriller-comedies about wild Santa Clauses . (The latter is highly recommended ^^)

You're welcome ^^ I got intrigued by youpickmyname's recommendation, and it was totally worth it. The poetry part (damn epic, btw; I've wanted to write something like that for months) worked wonderfully with some Conan soundtrack and Bal-Sagoth

I listened to the full Therion - Lemuria album, some really awesome stuff on it! Other than that, been expanding mt palate with several songs by Kiuas and increasing my repertoire of non-Skyforger Amorphis lol.

Aside the "Joutsen era" albums, I suggest checking out Elegy and Tales from the Thousand Lakes for the "golden era" Amorphis. Vocalists are different and the approach is more progressive death metal, but they have the Amorphis trademark melodies at their finest.
For a bit more "modern" introduction they have made re-recordings of some of the old classics with the current lineup in the "Magic and Mayhem : Tales from the Early Years" 2010 collection. For exploring/comparison, old Magic and Mayhem and My Kantele .

Fine choices Sirius B and Lemuria were my gateway albums to Therion back in 2005-2006. Voyage of Gurdjieff and Lemuria were my favorite songs of all time back when I was 15. ^^
Though before Voyage, White Pearl was (and still is) a top contender xD Then again, Reckoning Night was one of the first metal albums I fell in love with, along NW's Oceanborn.

Just listened to both of those songs. Voyage was enjoyable. Holy hell I loved Lemuria. o.o And I'm just about to start checking out the full albums you mentioned. I also can't get enough Amorphis. Loving a lit of stuff from The Beginning Of Times, and I run through the Skyforger album like once a day.
