Aaah, deviantart, my experiences with the critique on this site is less than exciting. People who make "decent" artwork, like manga/anime drawings etc just get happy comments from other people who draw anime/manga. And people who make "good stuff", take my picture of Yuna as an example, pictures like that one are most likely to just get a lot of "awesome", "funny" "I like this!" comments. Now, I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but it tells you something about the deviantart mentality. As far as I know there's a myth of a percentage of "real" artists that'll actually give some constructive critique without being asked for it.
But the most important thing about becoming a great artist is that you WANT to become great. If you want to become good, you have to work for it, and have a lot of patience, that's the best advise I can give. ^^

My philosophy exactly, quality over quantity ^^ Cuz there's already way too much crap in this world, I'd rather spend my whole life making one really good movie, than making ten crappy ones, ten crappy ones are bad for two reasons: they're bad movies, and there are ten of 'em. See if there were only good movies then it wouldn't matter which one we saw!Ofcourse, generally. It's not realistic to only have "perfect" movies in the world

I'm new to Deviant Art, but I have a friend who belongs here. I 'm Starting to get back into drawing and many a long years and im starting to get better. I generally just doodle in my notebook when bored in clas or at work and I tend to take a while drawing them. I usually spend alot of time erasing and redrawing and can never get stuff the way i want it. I figured that this is the best place to get good criticisms and helpful tips from other artists. Ill post up drawings when I get the chance. THey are basically pages right out of my notebook so there are some horrible ones and good ones.
I have been looking at alot of comics on the web to try to see how parts are drawn. I've free handed a couple pictures from a comic called "Ever After" by Everling to try and get the feel for how things are drawn. So no way tells me I'm stealing pictures I labeled the ones from his comic.
