Yeah, they have another one this term. I don't think they have a blog or facebook considering it's relatively small (though more people come near the end of the semester). They have it every Saturday, 9:00 p.m. to 12 a.m., in Bayou Studios 3.

But boy is it tough! I've been trying to be one step ahead on my homework, but it's hard to figure out what the teachers are assigning us (i.e. One kid says all we have to do is the reading, yet another is saying we have to sketch, etc.) But it is so much fun!

Yay! I'm glad you're having fun! My first year was tough too. I switched my major during my second semester and I had A LOT to catch up on. When you're unsure of what the homework is always ask the teacher. They don't bite. They're actually quite nice if you get to know them. What classes and teachers are you taking/have? I heard they completely changed the first year program from last year. Where are ya living?

Haha, I can't stop but ask/email the teachers (some of the kids keep getting confused because, despite having the same assignments, some teachers are moving faster than others which is throwing everyone off). xD Let's see...the teachers I have are:

-Figure Drawing I: Casmer (a really good teacher that teaches a really awesome class).
-Drawing I: Parnell (The first day I walked into his class, he was playing heavy metal music--I thought I had walked into a sophomore class; it seemed too cool to be a freshmen class).
-2D-Design: Brown (He's kind of quiet, but he's quirky...also, this is the class that seems to be slowly killing me at the moment, maybe more than or equal to the killing speed of perspective class).
-Film/Narrative: Dapena (Pretty much a class where all we do is watch movies and talk about movies, which is fine by me). ;D
-Writing Studio: Rich (Typical English class).
- MEDA Lab: Dapena (Every Monday we watch a movie that will be in accordance to our Film/Narrative class...in other words, MOVIE NIGHT)!

They did change up the first year, and they are continuing to change it up as the years go by. Also, I'm living in North/Goldstein Hall. YES!!! Are you living in one of the apartments? How did your first week go?

Yea it can be confusing at first, but once you get working on projects it'll be much easier.
OMG. You have 6 classes?! That's crazy! I only have 5. Although I did have 6 last year for my second semester because I switched my major. I haven't heard of any of your teachers. lol. They sound awesome though.

That's what I heard. I just didn't know what they were doing. YAY! That's where I lived last year. Who are your RAs? I'm not. I'm living in an apartment off campus. I love it. It's so much easier. My first week was great! Really fun. I got to do a blind self portrait out of clay. We were blindfolded and had to feel our face to get it right. We finish it today and get to see it. I'm kind of nervous. Haha. I'm also making a few prints in printmaking. It's so messy, but such a blast.
