oh it's easy when you comment/reply etc you'll find a link saying "Emoticons" on the right, beneath the box. I didn't notice it either for a while, good thing my sister gave me introductions on how to use dA
then there's hundreds of extra stuff you occasionally find like or the - thing and it's almost always written like this :icon gwomp plz : just without the spaces, so, again the ":" before and after, then "icon", whatever short form neccessary and "plz" in the end basically that's showing an artist's avater like (it's without the "plz"). though with some of the people who create those extra things you need permission, so I've heard, I just hope I'm not using any of these "illegally"

yeah, the thing with the double clicking sucks anyway, you gotta be careful 'cause the names of the emoticons are not the same as the ones you used to use, so what you thought was :happy: is actually... uh.... doesn't seem to exist but :triumph: is : winner : --> , I know, it's stupid, but that's the way it is same thing with :joy: it's : dance : -->

it's : icongwomplz : and : iconsquirrellove : , don't forget the icon

I got a few from my friends here and when you browse through dA, you'll eventually stumble upon others. you can also just search for "funny icons" or whatever

aaand if you're not sure whether or not you got it right, just "preview" the message (I always do that)

Storms are cool. Although, till your house got damage or barn in our case. The door of our barn (pretty big, about 4x3m) was blown out and landed a couple of meters away. Just missed our car, luckily

ooooh that sucks poor barn where I live, this one storm really made a mess out of a poor nearby forest... many trees were old and basically dead, so it must've been a bit like a domino effect (i hope this word exists in English )

Yes, I know the expression domino effect. We have that here too, sometimes But then they're not old All the forests here are artificial, planted by men. So we don't really have wildlife here. I'm studying biology, so there's no future for me here.

Many of the forests here are also artificial, at least partially... Biology is cool! I used to love it but thanks to my oh so funny biology teacher that passion died last year either way I'm gonna graduate in biology, so if I have any questions I'll ask you if you don't mind

I love Canada, we received our visa a week or so ago. And I'm really really excited Gonna graduate there, I think.

Africa Studies. Nice! I love tribes and they're different cultures. That's a reason why I have dreadlocks And my mom was born in Africe So she loves it too. Btw, are you graduating this year? And Vienna sounds awesome. Never been there, but I'd love too.

This summer we're gonna look for a possible place to live in Canada. We've been there multiple times, but we haven't seen all. We're gonna make a road trip from Toronto to Alberta (in the west). So we'll see 3 other provinces we haven't been yet. And then, hopefully, we'll move in 2 years. And I'll go an year later. So, it's still a long time But I'll enjoy life now, what everybody should do. Live day to day. Don't look too much forward, otherwise you'll not see what's right in front of you. (Wow, I should remember this sentence )

Dreadlocks are cool I love them. Got 72 kiddo's here. If you love dreads, you should take them. I've got mine about 8 months now, and they are becoming better and better. Eventually you've got little maintenance

And no, you may not know where my mom was born... She was born in Tanzania. It was under British control by then. Now they're independent and it's now more dangerous But still, I'd love to go to Africa, traveling and/or research the animals

Don't be scared about your exams. You'll be fine. I did mine last year, and I passed, so... you should too
Do you have notes from 1 through 10? Or do you use A,B, C etc? Anyway, I was a disaster in math and I always got a 3 or 4 for my tests. But at my exam... a fricking 7! And another thing: I've been in the hospital a several times. And it's not that I'm a person who gets 8's and 9's. But more like 6's. So, it's possible See, unless you've been absent for most of the year, you should be able to graduate

Haha, sure Where have you been in the States? I traveled from Vancouver to San Fransisco and back up north to Alberta. That was awesome. Redwoods, Oregon Coast, all the parks we've been too.

sweet! Tanzania is cool! ..uhm...warm... I've been to Kenya so far and I absolutely loved it. A friend of mine is going to Tanzania this summer! I still think she's crazy to go in SUMMER but oh well...

thanks our grading system is from 1-5 with 1 being the best, so it's the other way 'round I guess
At the moment my grades are crazy, they're either 1s or 5s which I think is kinda fun but exhausting and frustrating after a while

I've been to... San Francisco (3 times), went in a big loop from San Francisco to L.A. (even passing trough Utah and many national parks), I've been to New Jersey and to New York City. and to Chicago. And I must say, Chicago was my favourite so far people there are SO friendly, it's unbelievable (especially when you're a girl ). and I love the wind

Nice. That's a lot of cities. We mostly go to national parks. And I don't mind, those are the places I want to be. In the woods Looking for animals and strange/beautiful plants. Yup, it's really clear I'm a biologist
