Yes, Thorin is a Rhodesian Ridgeback! THey are not widely known around here.
I love this breed, they are huge teddy bears, so warm and gentle and love to play and sit on our fee! I had another one before Thorin, his name was Dante, but he died when he was 13. He was the reason I found this breed, and got to love them so much! I'll try to post some pictures of Dante too, he was beautiful!
Tuga is a mix breed. Now, I was told he is half Dalmatian half Pincher (no idea how that happened...) He's ten years old, but he thinks he's a puppy! And he's definitely got the temper of a Pincher!

Rhodesian Ridgebacks are so amazing~ the athletism is just amazing. ._. Does Thorin like to run a lot or is he a couch potato?
They both look/sound awesome~ I love dogs. 
Same thing with Niko, the reason we adopted a corgi was because the dog we had before him (Bouncer) was a corgi mix (no clue what corgi was mixed with though) and the little legs just charmed us.

Thorin is only 6 months old, so he's really easily excitable, he's hilarious!
He also likes to run a lot and he is also a couch potato! He runs until he's tired and then he
sleeps naps so he can run some more! he loves to run after his tennis ball,
bounces it himself and all!

Must be funny to watch him go all out then suddenly drop and sleep then repeat the whole process.
I have a friend whose border collie does similar, she's an absolute nut but so lovable!
Niko also has a tennis ball that he loves to roll around, it's funny to see his tiny legs flail about after the ball.

I got so used to Niko's tiny legs that seeing dogs with legs any longer always throws me off.

Rhodesian Ridgebacks are very athletic, they are a breed of gun dogs
used to be used in Africa for big game (hunting). So they are
strong, and their built is very sturdy. But they like to lounge
in the sun and not do much as they get older.
Thorin is very young, so he needs a lot of exercise, if we don't walk him enough
he'll go crazy around the house. I used to walk him about three times a day for
half an hour each time when he was smaller and had little legs.
Now he needs to run more, so I just let him lose with Tuga in the vineyard
behind our house and they run around like crazy puppies.
Thorin never wants to come home, he always wants to take another walk!

Wow... that's impressive, although makes sense since their breed was purposed as hunting dogs.

How much older is Tuga?
Niko is the opposite, he always wants to come home.
We initially thought that since he's a corgi that he'd need a lot of exercise but after about a 40 minute walk in the afternoon, he's fine carrying on with his day.

Yep, about an acre all for them, and there's wild little rabbits too
that they get to chase from time to time.
Tuga is ten years old, but he's very fit for his age, I think.
He gets tired faster than Thorin of course, and a walk a day is enough
for him, but he still likes to go out whenever Thorin does, and they play
together a lot. Tuga gets cranky when he's fed up with Thorin's antics
and gets a bit rough, but they get along nicely.
We moved here recently, and used to live in a house with less space,
Tuga used to get a little achy at the joints, but now that he gets more exercise
he hasn't felt that again!
How old is Niko? Dogs after four years old start to calm down. Or maybe you
just got a lay dog! some dogs are like that...

Niko sadly isn't too good with other dogs but we're slowly working on it with him.

Actually Tuga has a terrible temper, he's very jealous,
whenever we give Thorin a toy, he takes it away for himself,
even if we give him one too. They always both want the same toy
it's like playing with stubborn children!!
They always got along though, Thorin loves other dogs,
and children too, he just wants to play with them all. He's
the most adorable thing in the world!
I think Tuga is getting rougher now that Thorin is bigger than him.
Six is good, means he's still got energy, but not too much! Perfect really...
I'm sure he'll learn to get along better with other dogs, if he's smart,
and as long as he's not agressive, it won't really be an issue.
You're lucky, TUga is terrible with dogs he doesn't know if he's not on a leash!

Used to have guinea pigs who would fight over the same piece of vegetable while the pile in front of them just sat around.
He sounds like he's a sweetheart by nature~ Love him and I haven't even met him. XD

Thorin is a sweetheart, people we meet on the street on walks just love him.
But he's getting really big, and people don't seem to understand just because he's big
doesn't mean he's not nice. He's the gentlest big puppy there is. Glad you love him
already! he'd love you too, I'm sure!
I'm sure he'll get better, you just have to be patient with Niko, and never lose your calm
it just makes it worse. Be gentle, and he'll keep calm too!
Oh, Tuga found out about the fish tank in the living room now, and he just sits there
staring at the fish for hours! and then he looks for them under the tank, and the table
and goes back to staring...it's amazing!

Ah yes, the wonders of technology! It's cold as hell here, so Tuga is enjoying the heater. Thorin was affraid of it
the first times we turned it on, but he's approaching it now. Still won't lie in front of it like a big slug like Tuga does, though!
