You are very welcome and thank you! I have had a DA account since high-school, but have been using it more and more now that I'm aiming for an associate's degree in Graphic Design. My instructors encourage me all the time to reach out to other artists and explore outside my comfort zone. Much of my deviations are photos rather than my other art these days, but I will be submitting more soon. I've also been submitting some crazy crazy poetry in my Journals area if you are interested.

Graphic Design is awesome! I would love to do that, or digital media, however, I'm in school for computer support specialist. I prefer to be creative, but I have to pay the bills too. That, and the only thing I can draw are flies after a long day of work! HA.
I read "Lick", crazy odd, perhaps the oreos and beer don't mix well? I will check out more of your poetry in the near future.

Oreos and beer? I've never tried that. I used to meditate to wind down so that's where all the crazy poetry comes from. It just sort of spills out like that after a long day because there's just so much going on in a person's head and if you pick up a pencil and scribble out whatever words come forward, you get some nutty mixture of nonsense and intriguing phrases. Really fun!
I know what you mean about putting aside your creative interests for a career. My true passion is writing and my ultimate dream is to publish, but I have to be reasonable and understand that publishing doesn't always work out so I set up schooling to follow my second passion of art. Even when designing logos or web-pages, I get to flex my creativity and it's such a versatile field I'm sure to find work. Not a bad plan if I don't land a best-seller hardback. Lol.
