Writing Bingo!Hello everyone! So I’ve been having trouble writing lately. At least writing anything worthy of sharing (aka coherent, fleshed out, and in a chronological sequence). I am also an awful procrastinator who needs to get back into writing one way or another! So! I’ve hijacked devised a plan! I am borrowing this old treasure from @alloftheprompts on Tumblr and am gonna use it to help myself get out of this writing rut!

It’s simple, pick one of them, 1-24, and I will have to go in order as they are received until I get bingo or have somehow managed to write 10 prompts without getting bingo. (That is my short term goal, and will decide if I still want to power on after to still achieve bingo) I also will strive to make them 1,000 words or more!
I’ll list the people at the bottom of the journal in order of comments received. Obviously space is potentially limited, so I’ll be confirming the first

>_>

I saw, and I left a reply. A bingo game is a pretty interesting idea for writing stories... tumblr usually has lots of fun interactive things.

Hey so you know HopefulPancake that just sort of disappeared? Well, I am her, and the reason that the account died was because I lost my password in a switch to a new computer so yes, I am that person so yeah. Also (though it's late) Happy Birthday!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Redangermeiser1994 In reply to hopeful-heathen [2016-06-30 20:29:34 +0000 UTC]

That almost happened with this account to be truthful. Couldn't remember the password and the email I used was pretty much dead, so I couldn't change the password either.

I basically never logged off after that, but then I found a piece of paper, guess my past self knew I might forget.

But I digress, thanks. 22, start singing Taylor Swift.

Yeah the email I used for that account was super old and I couldn’t find the password anywhere for the email so I just gave up on trying to get into it. I’m pretty sure I wrote it down somewhere but I can’t find the piece of paper now.

Yes, it must be exciting growing closer to death. But it’s better than watching your country get infinitely more stupid as time goes on. England is literally screwed.

Redangermeiser1994 In reply to hopeful-heathen [2016-07-01 15:06:31 +0000 UTC]

Mwahaha! Great minds think alike eh? On both the paper and the nearer to death comment...that was exactly what I told my sister and my mother when I stated I didn't want to celebrate my birthday.

My sister called me an idiot and said that was exactly the reason one should celebrate and my mother just gave me a look and said I was too young to worry about that already.

I think all the countries are pretty much screwed, America is for sure if Trump gets in.

hopeful-heathen In reply to Redangermeiser1994 [2016-07-01 16:32:12 +0000 UTC]

I mean I’m pretty young so I have some reason to celebrate my birthday for awhile and it’s an easy way to get free money out of people so it’s worth it. Free cake is always nice at least.

And yeah, I won’t be going to America again if Trump gets in. I went in May this year and it was fine but if Trump got in I wouldn’t go because my dad would probably get shot because he’s black and I’d get shot because I’m mixed race.

That sounds like my sister, 'give me money and I'll be happy'.

What a terrible world hmm? Ah well, hopefully the gears will start turning and people will actually have common sense again.

The same can also be stated with food.

Pretty terrible but we're sort of stuck on it. And I doubt common sense is gonna come back to England where everybody is old and xenophobic as heck.

Mwahahaha! You and my sister would get along just fine~

Yeah. Fun thing though, those old xeno-phobes don't have much longer...now if only our generation would stop repeating the mistakes of those old ones.

hopeful-heathen In reply to Redangermeiser1994 [2016-07-02 07:21:07 +0000 UTC]

Well, here you only have like one or two kids per class who shout about immigrants ruining the country all the time but nobody pays much attention to them. My school is pretty liberal on most things despite being a Catholic school.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Redangermeiser1994 In reply to hopeful-heathen [2016-07-02 15:05:26 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, reminds me of my old high school. I only remember one form of xenophobia ever being displayed, and that was when a soccer(football) player had lost to a team that had some bosnians in it.

The kid went to detention pretty soon afterwards.

The college I'm at is pretty laid back too, I mean, there's a teacher there called Doctor Love that goes around teaching people how to handle bad or unethical situations with words and peaceful actions, not fists.

hopeful-heathen In reply to Redangermeiser1994 [2016-07-02 15:16:56 +0000 UTC]

Yeah that's basically what happens here in school if you get caught saying shit like that. Depending on how bad it is you can get a Saturday for that in my school.

Catholic school is pretty lenient on everything but uniform, they're very big on "everybody be nice to each other" but they're all happy clappy about it. It's like the second someone says something like that they might as well not go to school because the teacher will roast them so hard.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Redangermeiser1994 In reply to hopeful-heathen [2016-07-02 21:12:21 +0000 UTC]

Hmm...I'm all for equality and people being kind to each other, but forcing people to do so just seems so...fake if you know what I mean.
It's not real, those smiles and kind words if they're not even allowed to say what they feel.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hopeful-heathen In reply to Redangermeiser1994 [2016-07-02 21:17:15 +0000 UTC]

It's sort of an in-between. Like if someone is being a legitimate dickhead then the school just sort of turns their head when someone says something it's only when someone says some really messed up shit that would actually hurt someone when they call someone out. I'm pretty sure the teachers are very fake with most students though, mostly because they can't legally state their opinion.

My school is weird though because even though we're a Catholic school everyone's sort of a dickhead and we have loads of scumbag kids and it's just a thing we sort of let slide. All of my friends are pretty mean to each other while joking about and no one has ever said anything to us.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Redangermeiser1994 In reply to hopeful-heathen [2016-07-03 02:49:55 +0000 UTC]

I think that's about the norm these days, people say bad things about each other and most adults write it off.

I mean, look at my dad. He think all this stuff about being politically correct, removing racism in all its forms, sexism, homophobia, is simply stupid. Course, he's a racist bastard who thinks all women are sluts and threatened to kill his son if he ever dated another guy. And that turned into a rant, sorry.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hopeful-heathen In reply to Redangermeiser1994 [2016-07-03 06:12:53 +0000 UTC]

We just sort of attempt to ignore it and that makes everything worse.

Don't worry about that rant but we have no one like that, at least around where I live because my home is so racially diverse so someone like your dad would be getting an ass whooping by basically everyone he met.

Redangermeiser1994 In reply to hopeful-heathen [2016-07-03 20:14:58 +0000 UTC]

Well, I agree with blowing up in about two seconds, not sure about him getting his ass handed to him. He is a veteran, belonging to both the navy and airforce. You've gotta have some level of self defense skills to survive in those positions.

Course he's also not getting any younger either...

hopeful-heathen In reply to Redangermeiser1994 [2016-07-03 20:48:28 +0000 UTC]

He'd just have a dog pile on him, and we have some pretty damn crazy people where I live and a whole lot of them would just be pilling on him. You'd have like a couple streets at least wanting to fight this guy at once.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Redangermeiser1994 In reply to hopeful-heathen [2016-07-04 02:50:10 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, yeah that'll probably do it, especially if somebody happens to hit his already fractured ribs, or some other older injury. But he is southern man through and through, pain leads to anger, anger leads to almost bear-like strength.

hopeful-heathen In reply to Redangermeiser1994 [2016-07-04 05:32:59 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, England has different holidays to America. We have six weeks in summer but two weeks of at Christmas and Easter and one week of in October, February and May I think.

Some of that sounds nice, I recently had a chance to go to England you know. My Anthropology of food class(basically a history class on food) was going to have a little summer trip to England. We were going to visit the museums of art and history there and maybe take a bus to Stone Henge. In the end I decided that I should be in a more...comfortable financial position before traveling abroad, even for something class related like that.

hopeful-heathen In reply to Redangermeiser1994 [2016-07-16 11:15:34 +0000 UTC]

Yeah you'd have to deal with our pretty much constant rain. I find most of the museums here pretty boring but I guess you find things boring when you've always lived in a place.

Redangermeiser1994 In reply to hopeful-heathen [2016-07-16 15:10:50 +0000 UTC]

True enough, the museum here in Missouri is interesting, but I've only really gone in because of a class. We were doing these museum trip things and were given a list of museums(in America thankfully, no across the sea things) and one of them was the St. Louis museum of art.

I wouldn't mind the rain, that's a weather phenomenon that I quite like. Singing and dancing in rain.

Yeah but in England rain isn't that nice it's just constant boring drizzle that isn't heavy enough to be cool and have fun in but isn't light enough to just ignore it.

You couldn't do that here, you'd have to sit inside if the rain was loud enough to hear.
