The reason I'm here?
Well, I've got a box and some tubes with the word "Canon" written on 'em. When I point them at things, pictures come out. When I think those pictures are good enough, or have something interesting to show, I want to show them to others. Right now, that's you ;)

Hi Rene, i really enjoy your galleries, especially "aviation" and "cars and bikes" I´m trying to guess which is your equipment. Is it a Full frame camera? and about the lens (i´m drooling lol) is it a 200mm plus x2 extender? or is it a 400mm? the photos are awesomely sharp!! cheers mate!! btw, sorry for my english.

You are correct about the Full Frame camera. I use an old Canon 5D mkII.
Lens wise: for aviation and cars, I mostly use a 70-200mm and a 500mm.
My other lenses are a 24-70 and a 100mm. Although I rarely use that last one

You have a very nice gear!! I´m saving money to buy a 70-200 2.8 IS. Sadly, It´s very expensive in here. btw the 5D mkII is an awesome camera, doesn´t matter if it´s old or not, i´m still using the 7D. it feels like a tank in my hands lol love it!! That 70-200 is a beast. Phenomenal performance and incredibly sharp :) (Smile)
It's indeed expensive, but worth every penny

I still like the old mkII, but I am starting to run into its limitations regarding noise performance and dynamic range. The new mk IV is very high on my wishlist ;) (Wink)

Ik zag 'm voorbij komen. Is indrukwekkend, maar ik heb enkele piloten en ATC'ers gesproken. Die runwaycross van de Aerolineas was toegestaan en niks aparts. Inkomend toestel krijgt de melding "Cleared to land, runway currently still occupied". De piloot kreeg zelf de keuze om de landing door te zetten óf een doorstart te maken. Hij koos zelf voor het laatste.
Door een groot teleobjectief wordt diepte wat platgedrukt waardoor het lijkt dat het allemaal veel dichter op elkaar zit dan in eerste instantie lijkt.

Ik schrok er in eerste instantie ook van, maar er schijnt dus niks aan de hand te zijn. Zoiets gebeurt wel vaker :) (Smile)

Toch dank voor de link. Blijft een interessante

Bedankt voor de comment! Heb de foto ondertussen wel weer verwijderd omdat ik nog een duststpot zag en wat storend vond, maar is inmiddels weer online. Was gaaf om de chinookin actie te zien gister.
