I've been pretty busy too. I got a job at pathmark in the deli but just left and got a job at mcdonalds which is way better and I got more hours there. I also start college in the fall and will be doing animation. But yeah, I'm finally making money!

Well, I'm planning to go into Police Academy in July '14!

Not yet, I keep wanting to now though since I've finally finished Bleach.  I did start watching the beginning of FMA one time but then started watching Bleach and never finished it.  I actually remembered him because my friend mentioned that I sounded like him in one of my facebook statuses lol.  I was basically complaining how some people are rude and don't want to be friends with me because I'm short (same height as him!)

That sounds like the first anime, which only loosely follows the manga. It stands on it's own decently and had some great themes going, but it threw all those themes out the window and became a giant sapfest towards the end (and that's to say nothing about all the fillers that led nowhere). Honestly, I feel like they were just trying too hard to make a bittersweet ending. The follow-up movie did not make it better. =/

Still, I think it's worth the watch if you have time to watch both. If you have to pick one, I'd go with Brotherhood. It's 99% faithful to the manga (if only because 100% is never possible with adaptations), has better character development, handles the themes a lot better (it ties up very well at the end), doesn't have plot holes (anyone who says otherwise has either forgotten an earlier detail or just had not been paying enough attention), and despite also having sad moments, it's overall very optimistic. So, yeah, I highly recommend this one if you only have time for one.

Despite what some people suggest, DO NOT start with the first anime and switch to the second at the divergence point because YOU WILL BE CONFUSED. Even the parts that were adapted from the manga had many alterations made (because there weren't many chapters at the time), and the Dublith arc ends differently. Just watch one from the beginning and keep going before starting the other.

Also, AL IS NOT A ROBOT, HE'S A SUIT OF ARMOR!

Blarg, everyone makes that assumption at first (including me, though that doesn't stop being a minor pet peeve ).

Yeah, I'll have to make time to watch both.  And by make time, I can use the time I have because I have no friends IRL to hang out with!  I have this super long list of anime to watch, but I think I'll watch FMA first.  And woops, my bad lol.  And I know what you mean about having things like that as pet peeves, I'm the same way lol.

Alright! Just so you know, the first 13 episodes of Brotherhood roughly follow the same arc as the first 26 minus the filler. Don't skip any of that, because again, there are several differences in detail that are crucial to later plot points.

I've watched Brotherhood 3 times, and I swear I noticed something new every time and gained a better understanding each time.

Also be sure to sit through the credits because besides the preview being nice to listen to, some episodes have post-credit scenes.
